Good solid offering by Speedo
I have been wearing this swim trunk model for years. Durable, good easy fit, and the colors offered are subdued and don’t scream for attention. I swim several times a week in a chlorinated pool and each pair lasts at least one year.

Speedo still makes an excellent, very durable short trunk for sprinting.
Love the short trunks: way better for sprinting and general comfort. I ticked "Fit As Expected" because unless you're ripped at the time, they ALL seem too small. They will relax a bit, though, and do put 'em on wet for a bit more ease. These are if anything, more durable than ever. They really hold their fabric and color day after day. Granted, they are heavily built, thus not too stretchy. I've found Speedo to be my go-to for 20 years, and I'm grateful I can find the shorter trunks, as the long ones just feel klunky to me. Great lasting, non- flashy workout gear! So happy they're not day-glo orange.

You probably want to size up
I'm 5'10" 155lb and relatively lean and fit. My measurements put me at exactly a size 30, but I bought a 32. It is definitely not loose or baggy and fits snug. The elastic at the leg openings is somewhere between snug and tight, and i have rather skinny legs. Coming from a swimming background and being used to tight suits and intending to use this just for swimming laps, I considered exchanging for a size 30 for a tight/compressive fit, but opted to keep the 32. If you're between sizes, definitely go to the larger size and maybe consider going up to the next size. If you're right on a size, definitely go up a size for a snug fit unless you really want a tight/compressive fit, in which case, get the recommended size.

Nice snug fit, low drag, high speed
These fit true to my normal pant waist size. They're snug, but that means they're not going to move around while I'm swimming. Once I'm swimming they don't feel tight at all and don't restrict my movement. So far the material is holding up really well and they dry faster than longer jammers or shorts.

Fit
Fit great, although 2 sizes larger than normal. Don't like to be squished, lol

Speedo quality but runs small
Speedo quality made, but I find most Speedo men's gear definitely runs small and there are no in between sizes.

Great Swimsuit
I bought this suit for two reasons: one, as a former competitive swimmer I hate the drag of swim trunks, and two, I wanted something a bit more modest than the traditional Speedo brief (but not as long as a jammer). This swimsuit satisfied both of those needs and I've been very happy with it. The material feels strong unlike some suits that stretch out quickly. At first the fit felt slightly awkward but I adjusted to it quickly. The drawstrings tie very tightly (they've never come undone) but are very long. In the water the suit feels great - I'm not constantly aware of it like I am with swim trunks. This swimsuit also dries off quickly, and is comfortable to wear for extended periods of time (on vacation, at a pool party, etc.). The only negative thing that I've noticed is that the inside of the legs can bunch up at times. Also, I read one review that suggested to order a size up and found that didn't work for me, as the legs were too long. So you might have to try a couple sizes to find the right one. All in all, a great swimsuit.

Size up. Great for lap swiming. Very comfortable and modest for the style of swim wear, but also not very fashionable.
I bought these shorts for a indoor sprint tri that my local gym was hosting. I've never swam competitively before, but I knew I didn't want brief or bikini style Speedo and I certainly knew that my normal loose style swim shorts would not work.I tried them out today doing some laps to figure things out and they worked great. The trunk style makes me never want to go back to typical baggy swim shorts with a liner. The style is so much more comfortable and easier to swim in. With that said, I do have some comments.I normally wear a size 32. I ordered a size 34 first and found them to still be to tight. I'm pretty lean and physically fit, but even one size up was uncomfortably tight around the waist and thigh bands. I re-ordered a size 36 and found them to fit better. The fabric cut really flattens out the front and prevents any sort of a significant bulge. If you are trying to be modest, no one will be seeing the outline of your goods with these shorts. The legs do tend to ride up once you start moving, walking or swimming. This could be as a result of buying two sizes up, I don't know. However, this didn't cause any discomfort while swimming.Lastly, for this style swim wear (square cut swim trunks), this is probably the most modest style/cut you can get. Because it tends towards the modest side, you could probably get away with wearing them in casual beach situations in more conservative areas. But, they are also not very “fashionable” and scream lap swimming. If you looking for something that is more fashion oriented beach wear for exotic location vacations, you probably want other brands of square cut swim trunks.
