Great kayak, terrible delivery
This kayak is fantastic, the three stars is only because my experience with Amazon and the XPO delivery company was horrible. Long story short, the kayak was delivered 1 month late and damaged. Amazon gave misinformation about delivery times multiple times, and XPO did a terrible job properly handling the boat, not to mention NO masks on delivery in the middle of a pandemic. Back to the kayak, this kayak is fabulous. Super comfortable seat, tracks well, retractable skeg works wonders in wind/current. The kayak is worth the money, but buy it from a licensed dealer. The marginal discount isn’t worth the hassle.

Solid boat, highly recommended
This is a great boat and exactly what I was hoping for. The skeg makes a HUGE difference and keeps tracking true. The seat is really great. It's comfortable for 3+ hours, and amazingly adjustable. The bulkhead/storage is spacious and dry. I prefer a slightly wider boat, and I can even cross my legs in this one. Super stable but still very quick in the water, and tracks great. At 48lbs, I can get it up on the car by myself with little effort. On top of it all, I love the color! Solid boat, highly recommended.

Product, yes; delivery...RUN and buy elsewhere
I am torn how to write this review. The kayak is deserving of 5 stars, but the way I received it was absolutely abysmal. Delivery is just as important as product so you don't end up in the predicament I'm in. I really don't know why people continue to buy through Amazon, myself included. Amazon, if you are going to be responsible for shipping to people, you need to make sure the services you utilize are worthy of your customers. The kayak came with all the bells and whistles it was supposed to, to include several deep gouges, and the underside of the boat is pressed inward or warped. If anyone is thinking of spending close to $1,000 on something, don't do it through here. Whatever idiot thought it would be great to package this with minimal cardboard and plastic for protection is extremely lazy and has no idea that shipping something across the country needs a little more protection than what was provided. My husband got his kayak through Appomattox River Company. They packaged with cardboard and plastic but it was thoroughly wrapped, had caution and no forklift stickers everywhere, and was awesome when it arrived. Buy through them, instead! In one of the pictures, the delivery truck is in the background. I originally didn't notice the warped underside, or I would have refused delivery. I was more focused on the many gouges (more than what is shown in the picture samples). And, no, I didn't sign for delivery. The driver took a picture and marked it as I signed. This is on the delivery service's instructions, but nothing can then be noted that it was signed for with noticible damage.I cried when I got my kayak, and not tears of joy. I've been trying to get a kayak for quite some time, and this cost hard earned money for something that wasn't treated with care. I'm not sure what to do with it now, as returning a 50 lb, 10.5 foot item is not as easy as it seems. Thanks, Amazon, for helping this be a lousy day, rather than one where I could get on the water.Edited to add:After consulting with more knowledgeable folks, most of the kayak can be fixed, to possibly include the warping, but all of it will take a steady hand. This can either be done through a shop, or at home. HDPE, what the kayak is made of, is not the easiest adhering material, gouge-wise, but gouges may be filled with other HDPE material (milk jugs or bucket lids), and it may take some heat to get the warp to pop back (if it does - that may take a little more doing). Factoring in those costs, what you're out if it fails, and the fact you shouldn't have to do this in the first place, contact Amazon for reimbursement, if you plan to keep the kayak. Otherwise, take them up on the offer for a return and find a company who truly delivers.

Perfect kayak!
I originally had the pungo 120 and it was so unstable, tippy and too long to maneuver in rivers. Because I loved the seat in my pungo, I stuck with wilderness systems and opted to try the aspire 105 as it was available when no others were because of covid. And I'm so glad I got it! It's very steady in the water and is easy to get in and out of. I think part of why it's more stable is its slightly wider than the pungo. Also, unlike the pungo the aspire has a skeg which works perfectly to keep the kayak straight. The cup holder is secure and in a comfortable place. The seat is amazing and customizable. Its nice to sit up a little higher when your back needs a break from lounging and paddling. I would highly recommend this kayak for calm rivers and lakes.

Great all-around boat
I'm super happy with my Wilderness Systems Aspire 105 kayak. I use it in a sheltered bay for bird watching. The seat is comfortable and it paddles well and holds a good line when it's windy. I just wish Wilderness Systems would get their kayak carts back in stock as I'd like to be able to get to and from the water by bike instead of car. It's not "lightweight" but I am able to carry it from the top of the car the 15 or so feet to the water and to put it up on the car rack by myself.

Shipping is horrible !!
It came in all scratched and beat up. With a thin plastic wrapping for shipping that was half ripped off by the time it got to us.. . Love the kayak but would not recommend ordering it through here..

Great Kayak with a few shipping scratches
Really like the Kayaks (bought 2). Stable, ride nice, high quality. Seat did not adjust as easily and not quite as comfortable as I expected, but overall a great kayak. Better price here with free shipping compared to local shops. I did get some scratches on the bottom of 1 kayak from shipping, however Amazon was great to work with and offered an easy return with pick up or a discount. Just know that with shipping there is a chance of that, but Kayaks are going to get scratched up anyways from use so I was ok with it.

Trusted manufacture
I bought a Wilderness Kayak many years ago and I'm still using it and its still great. I want my girlfriend to start kayaking with me so I bought her this one. They have made some nice upgrades from mine like the skeg rudder and the rear compartment now has hinges instead of the rubber cover. Many other improvements too. Oh, she loves the color too.. I would buy Wilderness again if I needed a kayak.
