For the price I was not expecting a whole lot, I was happy to see these are higher quality than I expected. A good set

Just used the 1 3/8" hole saw to cut through 2, 3/8" thick steel plates using my mill/drill at about 150 rpm and oil. Cleared chips quite often and i got nice clean holes very quickly. Best quick results i have ever had.

I think these would be fine for mild steel, especially if used in a drill press. I was able to cut a 2" hole in an old piece of equipment. The part I cut out had been welded before. The welds are, of course, variable hardness. When the teeth impacted the welds some teeth -- then most teeth broke off. It was a trooper though, the two last remaining teeth finally made it through all the way. Given the low cost, and difficult task, I think it performed well even if it destroyed itself in the doing. Caveats: 1) I used a handheld drill and when the teeth caught, it whipped around and twisted (ask my wrists!). This violent action may have broken teeth off. If you use a drill press you may see better results. 2) I was cutting through old welds -- which were rough until it got started, and can be very hard in places. This was not an easy cut I asked it to do. 3) Since I was drilling out an old pin hole (see photo) I used a wooden plug pounded into the old hole so the center drill bit could have something to center the hole saw. If I had used a steel plug, the center drill drilling through the steel would have slowed down the feed rate and may have protected the teeth.

These are impressive. Cut is very accurate, easy to use on my press. Easy storage, compact.

These bits are very sharp and good quality I bought a mag base drill to use for these bits. I had a few small bits, and it is not good to try to use bits on metal with a regular drill. I tried that months back and you cannot hold it steady and straight. Or at least I could not hold it straight after just a little bit into the metal. It twisted and grab a good bite and broke the bit. Thank goodness I have learned a valuable lesson. I usually have to pay for my lessons leaned. I really wish they would put there rpm list of different materials to drill. It really makes things a lot safer and major difference when cutting carbon verses stainless . That’s all I got to say about that

I didn’t expect such a great product for the money. If you are using a cordless drill drilling through 1/4” angle it works best on low rpms with as much pressure as you can. Some people might complain but the fact is they are not applying enough pressure/force

Used a be but for the first time for why I bought this kit based on the high recommendations and rating. Unfortunately I’m not impressed as, the very first joke I drilled, 4 out of the 5 carbide teeth broke off drilling through maybe 1/8” thick metal. And I can’t seem to find anyway to try to this item once it’s been used? Return policy days 30 days in mused condition? I’d take a replacement for the hike saw I used the lost 4 of the 5 teeth, but using my cellphone, I can’t seem to find out how to context the place that sole it! Therefore, 1 star! UPDATE: The company replied back very quickly and replaced the hole saw in less then a week of contacting them of the issue mentioned above. I have upgraded this product from 1 star to 3 stars based on that. I can't say one way or the other if this will happen again or not and if it's down the road, how they'll reply and what they'll do, if anything?

Ich bin gelernter Werkzeugmacher und war eigentlich sehr skeptisch, was das bohren von 25mm Bohrungen in massivem Stahl mit solchen Hohlbohrern angeht. Aber ich bin wirklich schwer begeistert. Mit Hilfe eines einfachen Schneidöles, gingen diese Hohlbohrer durch den 15mm dicken Stahl nahezu wie durch Butter. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen, dazu noch in dem tollen Koffer, das ist echt eine gute Leistung zu einem günstigem Preis!

Die Lochsägen haben eine wirklich gute Qualität, auch der kleine Koffer indem sie sich befinden ist sehr praktisch. Habe Holz und Alu geschnitten - ging einwandfrei, die Schneiden sind noch voll intakt.
