Got this to use for making my miniature kits. It’s got the basics. The tweezers are plastic, lightweight and useful. The 3 different files/emory boards are the ones I use most. I’m not happy with the knife. The blade keeps coming loose from the knife handle no matter how much I tighten it. It does come with extra blades. But I’m going to get a separate better quality Xacto knife to replace this one. I love the cutters. It’s very sharp and seems good quality. I’ve used them on wires, wood and plastic. Overall, this is a useful beginner tool kit at a great price. Quality is low to average but once you know what tools you use most, you can get better quality ones to replace these.

For the most part this is a great budget kit to get into model making. However, the one complaint I have is that the two sets of included tweezers have really, really soft metal and the tips bend very easily, so be careful. Other than that, it is a great kit.

I've been building model cars off and on for over thirty years. I recently decided to go beyond the basic X-Acto Knife and sandpaper and get some actual modeling tools. I didn't want to break the bank so to speak, so I decided on this tool kit based on the low price and good reviews. I must say, I'm impressed! The nippers are extremely sharp as well as the hobby knife. The tweezers are nice for fitting small pieces on engines and things. The metal file is a life saver! It works better than sandpaper on certain applications, especially in tight spots. The foam sanding stick is extra fine grit for light detailing, not heavy sanding. It works great for it's intended purpose. There seems to be some confusion about that in other reviews. All in all, it's a great tool kit for beginners or casual builders alike.

A great product at a great price

I bought a mini gunpla megazord and dragonzord. I wanted to cut the parts off well, and I knew gunpla fans have special cutters. These seem to be just what I needed to cut parts right at the edge. Flat edge on clippers allow you to square up. A little file if you need that part smooth. Exacto hobby knife and tweezers +. I figured a nice kit like this will more than help me finish my 6 peices. Maybe a new hobby. Tho I need a workstation now, I already almost lost important moving part 👍

Bought this for my kid, who wanted a Gundam model as a gift. Since I was getting a model, too, I wanted something that had plenty of useful accessories, was good quality, but didn't "break the bank". This was a really useful starter set to let them test if they wanted to get lots of OTHER specialized model-building stuff later. This ended up being perfect for what I wanted: a sufficient set of accessories to get lots of good use out of it while assembling a detailed model, at a good price. They are now on to using it on other models and projects.
