Feature packed for such a small lamp
I've bought a couple of camping lights lately as I wanted to replace an old worn out one which, although it has served me well, is out of date. There are so many options out there and this one is amazing and is packed full of featuresClosed this light provides a good focused beam, ideal for illuminating specific items.Pulling the case apart opens out the corrugated / concertina tube which is illuminated by the same bulb but provides a much softer light to illuminate a whole area. The light is charged in 2 ways. By plugging in a micro USB cable or by solar power. The light can also be used as a powerbank to charge your USB devices by plugging in any USB cable which is a great added bonus. If I was to have any criticism of this lamp it would be that there's no hook on the top. Most tents have a loop to hang lights on and with the handle behind one piece I'm going to have to use something between them to hang the light. Not a big problem but a hook would have been nice...... which leads me onto the Survival Bracelet. It's not why I bought this lamp but it's a nice addition along with the built in whistle.I'll probably end up using this bracelet to hang the lamp up in my tent. Maybe it doesn't need a hook after all.*** If you've found this review helpful, please hit the "helpful" button as it makes writing them worth while ***

Compact and versatile travel light
I bought this as a light to use inside our tent, on a recent camping trip. It fitted what I was looking for - small, solar-powered and with multiple settings. Especially small! Closed, it’s under 5cm tall and c.7cm square - but extends to 12-13cm when opened. This light has 3 light settings: low, high and ‘SOS’ (flashing) which gives you all you need, operated by a button on the side of the top housing, and it also has a hook to hang it up with and a carrying strap if you need it.It charges well (and quickly) in the sun, and will last the whole night if you want to leave it on. We had it as our in-tent light, so only used it when needed, and no problems.

Solar Panel does not work
As a basic rechargable LED light, this is OK. It will charge up happily from USB, and will keep going on and off for about a week of camping. It gives out a good amount of light either as a torch or a lantern. The main issue is that the Solar Panel has the opposite effect it should do. It does not charge the battery of the light up, and over a period of 2 weeks left by a window the battery will will completely discharge, and require charging via USB so the light can be used. There is no excuse for this, even basic cheap solar garden lights will receive enough light for 8 hours light, and do not discharge when not used.I have tested this over several weeks to make sure I haven't left the light on, or that it hasn't been left in a place where the Solar panel is not receiving enough light. Every time, after about 2 weeks the battery discharges. For comparison, I bought a Suaoki solar lantern from Amazon about 3 years ago. It cost half the price of this one, and I only charge it up once a year, the rest of the time the Solar panel happily charges it up. It has only fully discharged once.If you are looking for a light that charges up via solar power, my advice is don't purchase this light, and look around for an alternative that has a functioning solar panel, not one with a solar panel that seems to draw power from the battery.

Small but powerfull
I bought this lantern for my shed but my son use it in his little indoor tent, it's small but is quite bright, he uses it every day and I still didn't had to recharge it, it's perfect to light up small and I use it like a power bank too. Very good value for money

Bright lantern
Saw one like this in a camping store but much more expensive. Good coverage of light, quick charge ( great that it’s solar and usb) . For me all camping lanterns should be solar , why use batteries??? Solar much better for the environment

Handy gadget
Handy gadget and great accessories including whistle and cable. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be but works out a lot better especially having to pack it up to use when camping or at a future festival.

Get this little ray of light!
I wanted something solar powered that could charge devices like a smart phone. I found this little beauty. It's light weight but packs multi functional punches. I'm absolutely thrilled with how small it is, how bright the light(s) shine and how quickly it charges a smart phone. An absolute must have for places where electricity is not an option and batteries cost too much. 10 out of 10, delighted!

Quality parts, well made, bright, works well!!
Super cool lamp that expands into a translucent concertina... it does exactly what it says on the tin, is quite bright and lasts a long time on a charge... not sure about the solar panel yet, but the led is great and so is the charge circuit... we’ll made and quality parts...
