Healthy, Thriving, and Absolutely Delicious!
I couldn’t be happier with my purchase of the Purple Passion Asparagus Roots! They arrived in great condition, and all 10 roots have sprouted beautifully in my garden. It’s been amazing watching them grow so quickly, and they are thriving!I couldn’t resist sneaking a few bites, and they are absolutely delicious— tender, and full of flavor. I can’t wait to harvest more. These are truly a gardener’s dream: heirloom, non-GMO, and a perfect addition to any garden.Highly recommend for anyone looking to add something special to their garden!

Large roots, in good shape, all are sprouted
Update: 6/24 all of the roots sprouted and are going strong in my raised bed. Easy to follow planting instructions. Very healthy and more than 10 roots arrived. I just planted them in the sand/ dirt mixture about 12inches deep so we will see what happens.

Good quality crowns
Order came in a couple of days earlier. Crowns were in good shape and were not dried out. Soak them for about 15 minutes to rehydrate and planted them. Will see how they grow.

Six didn't sprouted and not a good quality
I ordered 20 bareroots and six didn't sprouted. From 10 out 20 were very small like 2" tall. Contacted the seller and he asked to send pics and answer to buchbof questions like soil consistency. He refused to replace without shipping charges. Contacted Amazon and Amazon sent a message. Now he is playing like dont know anything about it. Asking "Sold three months ago and what's wrong with it". Never buy from this seller and Amazon customer beware from this seller.

These came pretty quickly, but when they arrived they were moldy ...
I ordered these late in the season because the crowns I bought from Walmart didn't sprout. These came pretty quickly, but when they arrived they were moldy and very smelly like a few other people have complained. I planted the best 2 crowns and they sprouted almost immediately with large, thick shoots. These are very mature plants that will produce food this year. After reading some of the other reviews and their responses, I decided to plant the rest of the crowns that I received, and they too sprouted immediately. I think these plants are good quality and the shipping method is as good as can be expected, but people should be more aware of what they are getting.

Give it time
Update 1 year laterThe spears came up earlier this year than they did last year. They were hard to see against the dark mulch at first, so it seemed like I got 8” spears overnight. They seem as happy and healthy as they were last spring. Zone 8a, PNW.Original reviewUnlike other folks, I had a cold spring. It took three months for these to start coming up, but now they're all happy and ferny.I followed the planting instructions on the University of Minnesota website. These went into a raised bed with some locally sources putting soil. I dug troughs about 10 inches deep. Then I laid down the crowns without doing the spreading out on a mound thing (UMN says research does not support the claim that the octopus method is better). The crown heads were a foot apart. I covered with a couple of inches of soil, then watered the bed. We had a very wet spring, so I didn't touch them again until spears started popping up. Once the spears were a free inches tall. I filled in the troughs. One of my rows has strawberries planned between them, I'm curious how these will compare with the others.

know nothing of planting or gowning anything but just followed instructions and planted 10 roots all 10 have sprouted and are now about 1 1/2 to 2 feet in height they took a bit of time in sprouting but are doing great now--everything depends on weather and my ability to grow them to maturity now very pleased with them and would recommend to anyone
