A simple and effective way to join two terminated cables to extend an existing cable. Well worth having one or two handy in the tool box.

I originally wrote a bad review; it didn't appear to be shielded. However it looks like you're meant to wrap the drain wire around the metal panel at the cable entry. There's continuity to the other side and 0.00Ω resistance. Well constructed; decent IDCs which accept the pressure required from an insertion tool (many cheaper products get a "splayed" IDC when you punch down hard); the bracket gives good sturdiness compared to competitors; plenty of space for a 7.1mm S/FTP rigid core conductor Cat6a cable. The IDC locations are however quite strange; you have to overlap the cables. I don't know to put this down as poor design or clever thinking about minimising the length of the conductor with no twists on the PCB (i.e. to reduce crosstalk/EMI). However note one slightly odd trait: the outer casing also has ground continuity when the PCB is seated. It seems to be plastic, sprayed with an electrically conductive metal sheen. The result is that the outer casing is grounded. So definitely don't put one of these in a junction box containing electrics thinking it provides protection/insulation; if a line wire came lose, every network point in your house could become live. Overall it's a bit fiddly due to IDC locations; could do with a little hole in the PCB for the drain wire so you don't need to wrap around the full PCB and need a long drain wire. But certainly the most sturdy, robust and modernised little home couplers you'll get on Amazon, stopping short of going to a pro cable shop. Reasonably well priced with some competitors charging £7 for a single, very poor smaller version which barely takes more than cat5 cable diameters.

No issues with using this item. Fraction of the cost of other suppliers. Comes with small and large cable clamps. If using a flat rather than round cable then the small cable clamp may need some additional wrapping to get a tight grip.

My set only came with 4 small screws, 4 longer screws, and another 2 longer screws thst have pointy ends. Seems there shoukd be 6 small screws, and 4 longer screws for the housing. Either I can't screw the joiner to the housing, or I can't screw the cables to the housing. If I use the longer screws it will pierce the housing.

Mi ha permesso di avere 1giga . Avevo collegato fibra e PC con i cavi in dotazione gialli che saranno cat5 . Avevo velocità 200-300 massimo. Appena sostituito con questa splendida cat8 ho avuto di colpo anche 950!!! Che meraviglia.

Fast hätte ich dieses Produkt nicht gekauft, weil jemand in den Rezensionen behauptete der Verbinder wäre nicht für PoE geeignet. Da mir aber kein plausibler Grund einfiel, warum das nicht funktionieren sollte, habe ich es trotzdem gewagt... Und es ging! Naja, zumindest beim zweiten Anlauf. Es hat mich ordentlich Arbeit gekostet die Adern des Verlegekabels in die Kontakte zu drücken, das ging bei den Aufputzdosen deutlich leichter. Hier sollte man doch zu einem entsprechenden Tool greifen, mit einem Phasenprüfer war das eine Qual. Das Gehäuse ist aus Kunststoff, auch wenn es optisch wie Metall glänzt und es ist recht groß - War für mich eher ein Pluspunkt, da ich genug Platz hatte und so entspannter verkabeln konnte. Für den Preis macht ihr nichts falsch, Übertragungsqualität mit PoE Kamera ist nicht zu unterscheiden zu einer direkten Leitung. Klare Kaufempfehlung für den Innenbereich, wenn ausreichend Platz vorhanden ist.

Gutes Produkt, einfach umsetzbar auch als nicht Profi. (mit auflegewerkzeug) Gut gefallen hat mir im Vergleich zu einem anderen Verbinder das hier aufm dem Boden die Farben nochmal sichtbar sind, das macht’s schneller und gibt Sicherheit beim auflegen.

Für den Umbau des Hausnetzwerks mussten einige Kabel verlängert werden, dafür habe ich für diese Verbinder entschieden. Man benötigt ein Auflegewerkzeug, aber dafür sind diese Verbinder wesentlich günstiger als die werkzeuglosen. Was diese 6 Stk. kosten, dafür bekommt man nur 1-2 der anderen. Sie nehmen aber auch mehr Platz ein. Bei mir liegen sie in einem 60x40 Kanal. Also vorher etwas planen. Belegung ist nur nach B beschriftet, ich musste aber nach A anklemmen, was auch keine große Hürde ist. Ansonsten ist alles dabei, auch ein Klebepad, dies habe ich benutzt in Kabelkanal. Für kleines Geld bekommt man gute Verbinder.
