This is an awesome book for ages starting at pre-k. It’s got wonderful pictures and full of great information!

I bought the hardcover of “Super Bug Encyclopedia”, “Animal!”, “Ocean!”, and “Dinosaur!” for my granddaughters (5yrs and 7yrs). Tons of great in-your-face, big-as-the-page pictures. Every creature is labeled and there are short articles for almost every picture.Admittedly it has only been a couple weeks, but they still look at them every day … and they corner any handy adult to read them the labels and articles.

I ordered the Bug Encyclopedia for my grandchildren as part of a coffee table collection. My future entomologist, who is seven years old was thrilled and literally danced with joy. She told me this book was at her school and everyone keeps checking it out and she's never had a chance to check it out herself. My girl literally poured over her bug book for nearly a solid hour. The photographs are incredibly beautiful and inspire a youngster to read and probe for further details about these creepy crawlers. We pulled up videos on line to further investigate and expand on her new found knowledge. This is a fabulous primary resource to provide for a youngster who appreciates insects.

My 6 year old son loves this book! Awesome, detailed photos and broken up details that don't overwhelm the reader. The large size helps show full zoomed in details of the bugs. It's a win in our home!

I really liked the large, colorful, close up photos, & some unique insects. Well thought out information written about distinctive aspects of each insect. Definitely would be appealing to a child’s curiosity. I enjoyed looking through & reading info/facts about bugs! Gift for our 7 yr old granddaughter. She loves to read.

I bought this for my 6 year old grandniece who loves bugs. I'm sure she can enjoy the photos but her parents will have to read the text and explain it to her.

Came on time and in perfect condition. Has great quality and is very sturdy. Is very informative on a lot of different bugs. I recommend it to anyone who loves to learn about different bugs.

Lovely photos, good information

This is a fascinating book on bugs for kids, and even for aduts. The enmphasis, as the title says, is on bugs that are huge and fierece. The photos are ultra-close-up, so whule your children will love them, insect-averse adults may feel a bit squeamish. You rerally do need to like large spiders! The text is accurate, as far as I can tell, and entertaining, and does not talk down to the reader. A child seven or older could read most of it him/herself, with help from adults on a few of the more complex words. Highly recommended.

This book is amazing for kids. Great detailed pictures with alot of reading information.

Good book. Kids enjoy. But needs more photos and not just a large picture here and there.
