The best two part rapid epoxy.
This is by far my favourite epoxy, has been for quite a long time now.I first used it years ago and having no prior experience with two part epoxies. I have since used different brands but Araldite is still my favourite.I used it to fix my ATH-M50X hinge that broke, within 24 hours it was a solid unbreakable bond.I'm not sure what else to say other than the basics so here you go:You get two tubes (the resin and the hardener) and a little plastic mixing stick. It smells like acetone and if not used in a ventilated area the smell will be stronger and more overpowering.Starts to set within 5 minutes and the bond is very good. It's definitely never failed any task I needed it for. This is a high recommendation for sure.If you found this review helpful consider slapping that 'Helpful' button, it sure makes typing these reviews worth it :)

I did a silly thing with my trainers
I did an incredibly stupid thing. I washed my trainers in the washing machine. Then I did another stupid thing....I tumble dried them. When I took them out of the washbag I was horrified to find the soles were hanging off, really hanging off. A good two thirds of them were flapping about....my favourite trainers ruined and Lord only knows what happened to the glue.I didn't want to admit to hubby what I had done, I'm sure he would have had a good laugh at my foolishness, I would never have heard the last of it, so I decided to buy this product to see if I could fix them without him knowing.I found the instructions easy to understand and went carefully, mixing equal parts together and spreading on both sides. I mixed enough for one at a time so it didn't start to harden before I was finished. You get five minutes to position whatever you are sticking so it was easy, even for a dotty old woman like me. They provide a stirring and spreading stick and I used the lid of an old margarine carton to mix it.It takes a couple of hours to fully harden so I put a couple of weights on overnight just to be on the safe side.Success....the soles were well stuck on. At first the glue felt a bit stiff but with wear it has softened and my trainers are as good as new. I have worn them a few weeks now and they are still stuck fast. They have been through rain, snow, hail and mud, plenty of mud and show absolutely no signs of unsticking, if I could give ten stars I would. This stuff has saved my blushes. I've lost count of the trainers and shoes I have chucked away because the soles were coming away, never again. It'll save me a fortune.Just one thing. If you have a pair of Lonsdale trainers, I wouldn't advise you to wash them in your machine and definitely NOT the tumble drier

This epoxy is very strong once settled, however the promise of 5 minutes to set is a bit off. In my experience it has been around 15 or 20 minutes which Isn't too bad really. Well recommended by myself and many other customers going off the other reviews! Only negative I can point out is I wish that it was a little cheaper as for my use, I used it all in one session (luckily I bought 2 packs!).If this review helped you in any way, feel free to vote it as helpful!

Very useful.
Have used both the 'Rapid' and the 'Slower Setting' types of epoxy resin adhesive and each have their purpose. I find the Araldite Rapid is useful if ultimate strength is less important than fixing something quickly.I've used Devcon Two Ton and it's also been fine (takes a bit longer to go off) plus JB Weld Original is excellent and probably best for maximum strength but does need 4 to 6 hours to go off and 24 hours to cure fully whereas the Araldite Rapid is hard within a quarter of an hour and reasonably well cured within an hour or so.

This is a great product
I have three toilet seats which, no matter how much you try and tighten them, they still work loose and move around. A bathroom fitter (Terry James Taunton area - excellent fitter) suggested using araldite to secure the toilet lid fittings to the porcelain to stop this movement taking place. I followed the advice. I mixed the required amout and put it in place. It's a bit fiddly and very sticky, but with care you have around 15 minutes to place the product in the hole between the hinge fittings and the toilet bowl, and clean off any excess before it sets rock hard holding your toilet seat in the right place - permanently. So no more time wasted for me repositioning my toilet seats.....

The only product for a permanent fix
This is the only araldite that sets really hard. Rapid araldite is ok for some applications but stays somewhat flexible. For a permanent fix this is the only option. The only drawback is that until it starts to set (several hours) it flows under gravity and the item being fixed needs to be monitored/rotated to ensure the araldite stays in the correct place.

Strong Stuff
I sticked a plastic cover of the freezer. The material is solid. I made sure that it stays this way as I also used this matrial to overlap the broken part because of it being slightly in a cream texture.Overall, very happy with the result.Always had a good outcome with epoxy!Tip: Make sure you put the same amount from each and mix it thoroughly together for a minute at least or otherwise it will not reach its full potential like others who seem to have experienced it.Good luck!

Follow the instructions 100%
I have been using the original Araldite since the 1950's & the Rapid variant where appropriate for the past two decades. It remains an excellent product & the standard by which other epoxy resins are judged. It has never let me down but I follow the instructions 100%. I know a few friends & relatives who have not - particularly in using equal quantities of A & B - and been disappointed. For some plastics where Aradite is not appropriate I use a specific adhesive for the purpose.
