Think... thick woven plastic tarp. Water runs off. No weeds will grow for a long time.
This product is like a woven tarp you would use to cover a boat. I ended up punching more holes in it to get water penetrating my landscaping where i needed the water. It is very stout and will not allow any weeds. Water will run off it so be advised. I would guess no weed would grow through it for 10 years and perhaps 20? You can direct water right to plants with elevation planning variations and have a great watering system with less precipitation.

Buy this product.
THE BEST product at the BEST price for my landscaping projects. Would recommend over and over again. It is exactly what you need for anyone rocking or needing durable fabric. You won't find this at HD, Lowes, or any box store.

Sturdy barrier
Very thick and durable. Honestly since we put it down we have had very little weeds. I would give it 5 stars but it is pricey. We have had to buy multiple rolls to landscape our yard. Water also doesn't permeate through very well. So around our raised beds we have had some flooding issues since we did double up around them. Effective for weeds though.

Tarp-like, surprisingly waterproof, frays like crazy
I used this to build a base for some large rain catchment tanks. I put down a layer of compacted gravel, then a layer of the driveway fabric, then about an inch of construction sand, then a layer of the driveway fabric, then the tanks. It's probably overkill, but I'd like the tanks to last.Pros:- The roll of fabric was relatively light and easy to handle. It was folded in half to a ~6.5' width, then rolled up into a cylinder, then the cylinder was folded in half again to ship it as a ~3' long bundle. When laid out, it was wrinkled where it had been folded, but it was relatively easy to pull it taut and flat once it was in place.- green lines woven into the fabric make it easy to align it where you want it- Ends of the roll were cut with a heated tool, so the plastic strips it's woven from are fused together and don't unravel- It's surprisingly waterproof and slick. This is great for my application, as it was easy to move the empty tanks around on it, and its waterproof tendencies will do well to slow erosion of the tank base. Not sure if I'd want such a waterproof layer in an actual driveway, though.Cons:- Frays like crazy if you cut it. If you were to cut it and then move it, you'd end up with a pile of useless plastic ribbons. If you're going to cut it then move it, try sealing the edge with a lighter or hot tool, like you'd do with paracord to keep it from fraying out.Unknowns:- UV resistance. I installed it around xmas 2022, and it's in a shaded location, but if I notice UV damage to the exposed as time goes on I'll try to remember to update the review

Good item
This item was shipped quick. It's thick and had some good weight on it. We laid on our compacted ground and it was easy. This is good quality unlike the others that is see thru, very flimsy like plastic and easily blown away. We laid this ground cover without the pins (the pins arrived another date) and we were getting ready for beginning of week of heavy rain and strong winds the next day and surprisingly it stayed on when we checked the next morning

Not 6ft wide. Thin and cheap
This is not 6ft wide. 5'8" wide on a good day... not really heavy duty either. I was skeptical on how cheap this was, now I know why. This will probably last for a couple years best. This is NOT for professional grade landscaping. Funny thing. They have thier measurements backward... that should have clued me in. See attached picture
