I have always been a fan of ancient roman history but this book just brought it to a whole new level. It feels like your living the life of Julius Caesar as each page unfolds the story of his life in a way that makes it impossible to put the book down.

Excellent book. Good balance between details and pace. Good place to go if you want to know more about Caesar than his Wikipedia page but don't want a textbook.

My husband and I enjoyed this book. The writer makes history come alive.
