I expected nothing less from the student of the prominent Shaykh al-Islam ibn Taymiyyah. Ibn al-Qayyim articulates a meticulous and logical response to one who is afflicted with calamity (sins). He draws upon the Qur’an and prophetic tradition, however balances this with his own exposition and that of earlier scholars of Islam. I particularly enjoyed and appreciated the knowledge contained in the section of invocation. The various forms of invocation, times of invocation and conditions of invocation mentioned by Imam al-Qayyim are highly beneficial to learn and understand, especially for those who are sincerely trying to get closer to their creator. All in all this book most certainly sufficed as ‘The Sufficient Answer For The One Who Asked About The Remedial Cure’. I would recommend this book to any muslim looking to become closer to their creator.
