Zinc oxide
I bought this zinc oxide to do my own sunscreen and I am very happy with it. Just one thing I am not really sure it is non-nano or not as only saying on the advert but nowhere on the packaging.

60g of 100% Zinc Oxide Cosmetic Grade -using for sunscreen
Mine came with a sticker saying MYOC White Zinc Oxi...ream, Online Quality....whatever that means! There is nothing about nano or not nano but I don't see an issue with this for my uses. I can't see any safety concerns for using nano zinc oxide on skin. Just a warning not to inhale. And since I take zinc supplements, if it it absorbed through the skin, I don't see an issue unless using tons and tons. What is confusing is on the pack it says "Industrial Recommendation" and "FOR INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY". What concerns me about this is that this labelling may be to bypass UK cosmetic products regulations? But I don't know. I'm assuming it's safe. Most of everything seems to be manufactured in the East and am sure many cosmetics manufacturers are sourcing from the same bulk suppliers. How would we know? I'm using this as a sunscreen and for this purpose, zinc oxide is effective by acting as a skin barrier. It works by reflecting, scattering, and absorbing ultraviolet rays. Since zinc oxide is almost insoluble in water, I just add it to my skin cream or BB cream and assume it helps more than if I did nothing. The reason I prefer this to using sunscreen is so many sunscreens use so many chemical ingredients with various safety profiles, including Phthalates and synthetic perfumes, and this seems cleaner to me, without being an expert. So happy to use. Seems fine and happy to have a product that is something simple that I recognise. Hope that helps!

Handy ingredient
This is zinc powder and it can be added to lotions or basic creams in order to add sun protection. Even if you have a sunscreen adding this can give you added protection. Adding this to a base natural cream will give you great nappy rash protection. cream. This zinc oxide has many uses from adding whiteness to paint to giving a nice texture and slight glow to foundation and eye shadows

Great for sunscreen
I made a DIY sunscreen with this and for the first time ever I didn't burn in the Spanish sun. It mixed in well, and there was no irritation. Makes me feel better that I'm not covering my skin in nasty chemicals.

Experimenting so far
I'm trying to use this zinc oxide as a physical sunblock but I'm trying to find the right ratios to create a cream so it's been a bit challenging since it's really thick and leaves a white cast.

Not sure🤷♂️
Doesn’t say “ non nano” on the packaging. Made in china. Could be nano zinc oxide. Afraid to use. Not recommended
