READ the SIZING instructions... or if you have a certain size window ADD 1" and order that size.
Really should be 5 stars AND although in the description there is mention that the SHADE is 1" smaller ( and somewhat my fault) when I ordered a 33" I expected that the mechanism was wider than 33" . So for future: if you have a 33" window spot... order 34" or 1" more for the bracket.Nice quality and very easy to install.

Blocks the light well, installs easily
Cave Maker!I bought for my office that get direct sunlight in morningsI do digital painting and color sensitive (monitor) work. and need to control the light. This thing is perfect. and look professional/cleanPros:-It blocks all the light with the exception of the spill from edges (minimal)-Installation is easy. They include a nice template for easy measurement.-once up, it's easy to use.Cons (cautions)-get the measurement it RIGHT. the margin of error is less than a quarter inch.-The plastic cable should be GENTLY pulled. It can jam if you pull to hard or too fast.-try to get screws into studs/wood. drywall anchors are small, and will probably fail over time.

As described, well packaged
I work midnights and my husband and I stupidly replaced our bedroom black out curtains with cuter ones-which means I can't sleep very well during the day since it's so bright. These block a lot of light and they are easy to use.

Decent quality
The plan was to utilize this Black blind to block sun reflections from a Television and to be installed so that the existing window covering, another window shade, would still be functional. So this is really much more of a custom installation than could be provided in the shade installation instructions! However for a standard installation they woud do except, there is a template clear strip provided to be used somehow, and either instructions for strip fell out or not there but ??? I have my custom install completed and functioning as expected

Good, but bottom seam feels unfinished and lets light through the small "sew" holes
Photo of bottom of blind attached, there's a row of very small holes running along the bottom that they used to "sew" the bottom of it with a sort of fishing line thread. It lets light through the holes which draws attention to it, and also the top of the seam isn't "sealed", there's a little line of fabric that sticks up past the sewing holes. To me it makes the seam look unfinished, I was even wondering if I'd installed it backwards, but that's how it's supposed to be. Because of that I took off a star.It also took me about an hour to install, because the installation brackets aren't very versatile (at least for my window), the two drilled holes didn't line up to anything I could drill into, so I had to drill threw the sides of the brackets (there were holes in the sides of the brackets but the plastic sides covered them, so I had to drill threw the plastic. Not hard, as long as you have a drill and appropriate sized drill bit, but still a pain.I also had to use makeshift shims to add 1/4" (1/8" on each side) on each side of the brackets so the blinds would fit. (This would only be an issue if you couldn't drill into the window's wall; I couldn't, which is why I had to drill into the sides of the window frame.)They're good overall, and I'm sure I'll stop noticing the seam and the tiny holes letting in light after I get used to it. (The blinds in the photo are white FYI, they just look dark because the room is dark with the shades.)
