It is not made clear that this unit is not 5Ghz DFS certified, - which means in practice that only the lower 5Ghz WiFi channels are available (Channels 36 - 64), ie only x 2 80Mhz channels. Bearing in mind that this unit is a tri-band and thus uses x 2 5Ghz channels (one for backhaul between separate units), it is difficult to see how successful this will be with the very limited number of channels availabale. The lower channels available tend to be very congested in urban / city areas.It would appear from what I could find that there is no liklihood of certification being applied for - I was unable to receive a response on the formal GL.inet forum. Sadly, due to this serious limitation, I returned the units to Amazon.
