Great quick disconnect alternative to hardwiring to vehicle
Good quality, straight-forward product. I bought this to use with the Roscoe backup camera I installed in the back of my travel trailer (I keep it on and use the camera monitor as a rear view mirror). Since I only use the camera when I'm towing the trailer, I wanted a quick disconnect/portable arrangement rather than hard wiring the power connections to my vehicle. This simplified the wiring and works exactly as I had intended.

I give you one of the hardest things to mess ...
I give you one of the hardest things to mess up: a cord with a plug on it. I plug it into my car, and it makes electricity happen on the thing I wired it into.If the thing I wired it to breaks, I know it’s not this because this is a wire and a plug. It even has a light built into it to show that it is in fact plugged in.Shocker! It works.Edit: Has been working consistently every day for two months.

MUST HAVE for LEDGLOW set-up!!!
This took soooo much time out of the LedGlow hook-up process! I have 3 lighter plug-ins in my 2012 Dodge Charger, I used the middle plug-in inside the center console, the wires are so thin on this lighter adapter that my center console door closes no problem (with the wires coming out on the driver side less then an inch away from the seat). I was very worried that using this adapter with wires coming out my center console on my driver side would look sloppy, and no way to hide it, but worry NOT! I used some electrical tape (only about 6-inches worth) down the wire and it is virtually invisible (as my entire hook-up is), and not only because of using the tape, but because where the wires come out, they come out literally right next to the back of my seat cushion, almost pressed against the console where the wires are, I simply used the tape to keep the wires put. Now, I only had this hooked up for a couple hours, so I don't know the reliability of this lighter adapter, but so far so good, for $8 bucks and possibly hours taken out of my set-up, I'm a happy camper!BTW, my 2012 Charger is MY BABY!!! I am VERY picky about wires being shown anywhere in my car with anything I set-up/hook-up, so this should tell ya something!Hope this helped.:)

Blown fuse
This is a quality product and works great. However, the wires are very thin and flimsy. I don't know how long it will last during heavy use. Also, it only comes with a 2 amp fuse that blew the first time I plugged it in. I replaced it with an 8 amp fuse and it works fine. I would have given it five stars if it had a higher amp fuse and the wires had heavier insulation.

it will make for easy removal. (Installation was easy too
I ordered the LEDGlow adapter with the LEDGlow interior underdash kit for installation. I went this rout rather then the fuse box in case I ever sell my car in the future, it will make for easy removal. (Installation was easy too!:) I have an extra cigarette lighter port in my center console so i am still able to use my main cigarette lighter to charge my phone and what not. This product works perfectly.

WARNING - Do NOT buy this product! The wires are low quality and it blew a fuse in my car!
For a few years, I used this in combo with LEDGlow's own car underdash lighting kit. And it all worked until last week when I was moving my seat to reach for something and tugged gentle on the wires (normally nothing happens with a tug). But I discovered that my lights would not come back on. The lights themselves work when I use a separate 12V heavy duty supply. But it won't work in my car. Turns out that a 15 A fuse blew in my car and a technician had to replace the fuse and check for other electrical issues in my car. The wires are cheap, became defective, the connection to the back of the plug becomes loose quickly over time, and it didn't last me 3 years. DO NOT BUY.

Power Adapter - Fuse Could Be A Problem
This was easy to attach and worked well until the fuse blew out on first use. I couldn't get the fuse out without breaking it. It was wedged in there pretty tightly. Then I couldn't clean out all of the broken pieces without damaging the wiring. I saved the wiring connector, but trashed the adapter. Not sure I could have found the correct size fuse anyway since it didn't appear it was clearly marked on any of the broken pieces. I doubt I'd buy it again because of the fuse issue.

It's easy and simple
It works. It's easy and simple. The only problem is that the wires are really thin and kinda cheaply made. But it works perfectly!
