HeinzGourmet Malt, Vinegar, 12 Fl Oz

I have never had malt vinegar. But I kept seeing it being used in this sitcom we watch, that is from Ireland, and they'd use malt vinegar on their fish and chips (fries) ALL of the time. So I had to get some and try it too!We fried up some flounder and had some nice thick steak fries with the fish, and the malt vinegar was splashed on everything, and it was great!! It's like you'd expect, vinegar-y, but not too strong. And it has the malt-y flavor that complements it nicely. I would suggest trying a bit on the chip first and see how you like it. I happen to like yellow mustard on my fries. Or mayo--that's my fav. But not ketchup so much. So now I can add malt vinegar to my list of likes!It comes in a nice size bottle, trust me, you won't be using much of it up in a meal. I was shocked at how we were splashing it constantly on everything, yet, there wasn't much gone! It does comes with a spout that has a tiny hole in it, so a dash or drop shoots out, and that's about it. You won't overdo it. But it's perfect, and lovely, and I can't wait to try it again!!

In my opinion, 'Heinz Gourmet Malt Vinegar' makes food extra delicious at a really reasonable price! Due to my having GERD, Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease, I add vinegar to many foods, which keeps me from having acid backing into my esophagus. Aside from this, I just love the taste of vinegar, and 'Heinz Gourmet Malt Vinegar' just adds extra zip to my roasted potatoes, french fries, and fish. I first tried it years ago, when I took a trip to London, England, which was long before I had a problem with GERD. It was a new taste for me, eating fish and chips with malt vinegar, but, it was Heinz, and it was deee-licious!

This vinegar is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it.

Tastes good, not as robust as some of the more expensive brands but all in all a nice addition to French fries and recipes.

Growing up with an English "MUM", we always used malt vinegar with fried fish and French fries ( Fish & Chips). I still prefer it over catsup! You can also use it in recipes that call for vinegar. As A sidenote, White vinegar is extremely bad for the human body but great for cleaning!. I only use Apple cider vinegar (w/the mother) and malt vinegar.

I love Malt vinegar on fish. I went from store to store and no one carried this product.So glad I was able to find on Amazon.
