Chain Link Fence Privacy Tape (Emerald Green)

It works super well and looks great from the road. Couple things I learned installing. It doesn’t come with enough of the brass nails so you’ll need to buy more. After having them up for a few months now I’ve found the brass nails that came with it are holding up nicely in the weather and the additional ones I purchased separately are getting rusty. In the future I may have to replace those and in hindsight i should have investigated the weather resistance of the additional brass nails I purchased. Installation is easy and kind of relaxing if you like patterns and doing puzzles but if you’re doing a lot of fencing it will take some time. I set of a junk towel to stand/sit on, put on a big hat and set up my supplies and listened to a podcast. I only did roughly 25 feet of 5 foot tall chain link (the area around our gates and both a single and double gate) and i had to purchase 3 boxes. I found for installation the brass nails don’t really puncture the material well with out bending first so I took a very small screw driver and would make a pilot hole first and then secure the vinyl closed with the brass nail. This was way quicker and became a pretty easy process. For the price and the area that I wanted some decent privacy it was definitely worth it for us.

I have about 90 feet of 4 feet high chain link fence that I wanted to add some privacy to. This product seems sturdy enough and is easy to install but does becomes tedious after a short period of time. I bought 4 rolls initially and used it to complete about 40 feet of fencing. It really made the fence look good but also provided the privacy I wanted. I then ordered another 4 rolls to complete the remaining fencing. The job goes by quickly if two people are working on it (try to find someone who has patience and cares about the quality of the job). If I have any concerns it would be in regards to the clips and how long they will hold up. I also ordered a hand held hole punch which helps a great deal in speeding up the task at hand.

For the price I feel like this was a good deal. Much more affordable than others I looked at and did the job. The plastic isn’t flimsy or cheap feeling and was a nice white color(not off white). It was easy to thread through my chain link fence. It is a bit difficult to push the little metal fasteners in, though. Maybe I was just not strong enough? So I used a pair of scissors to punch a hole and then pushed the fasteners in. It was tricky trying to hold the plastic strip, fastener, and use the scissors at the same time! I kept dropping the fastener and lost a few. Not too big of a deal, but something to consider. I’m pleased with the purchase and purchased again.

We received the product much sooner than the anticipated deliver. It’s exactly what is advertised. Leases just enough space on the sides. Really to install; while the package says no tools to install (depending on how literal you may be), I love that it’s a simple snip with the scissors. The price is definitely worth it. We’ve had some pretty knarly storms coming through and it’s held up tightly through all of them. The color is picture perfect white. The picture you see is with 2 boxes. We have some extra, but not enough for full rows ( which is my fault because I like being overly cautious). We will definitely continue to use this product in the future and have already ordered more to complete our small fence.

Great product equal to the ones they sell at Home Depot. The product itself is vinyl and I needed pure white. It took a handful of fence weaving parties to get it done but the finished product looks amazingly good considering I paid around $500 instead to do over 200 feet rather than having to pay over $5,000 for vinyl fencing. There is a learning curve to this. We happened to have these 3m small cutters that came with a scissors pack from Costco that worked really well when you secure the top with the brads and end on the bottom with the brads. We learned that majority of the fencing was of the same length so one person measured it out over 2 tables and did all the cutting. One person did the running back & forth. The weaving itself is quick but getting the brads on is the challenge especially when your fingers get sore from touching metal for long periods. Make sure you leave a generous enough fold over on the top & bottom so you're not fighting to secure the brads. While folding over, make a tiny slit to pierce the 2 layers then insert the Brad and spread the backside to secure it. If you try to use the Brads itself to pierce the hole it will keep bending over itself & you'll be fighting a losing battle. Even oversized slits did not affect the outcome. Of course I was grateful for all the help so I provided all the drinks, snacks and meals to make it as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It's been 2 months since it's been up and has weathered rains, humidity and scorching heat. Still looking good. I'm glad Amazon had it I white. Home Depot only hand the tan.

I’ll start with the negative and end with the positive. The pins they supply to fasten the tape are terrible! Often they don’t stick together when you try to stick them through so you only get half the pin through. Miserable to work with, but not impossible. I could only work on it for about 30 minutes cause the kids were sick and I was glad to stop cause the pins were so frustrating.Otherwise, the installation is easy. The weaving effortless. Seems it would be super easy to wash down to freshen it up if it got dirty. And it allows for FAR MORE privacy.
