Melissa & Doug Dinosaur Party Play Set - 9 Collectible Miniature Dinosaurs in a Case

These are super adorable!!! What a great set of dinosaurs. I love that they are soft and fuzzy, unlike the typical hard plastic dinosaur toys. I feel like kids would be gentler when playing with these too just going off by they way they feel when you hold them. I love that they are all so cute and well made, a lot of the other toy dinosaurs out there can be scary at first for toddlers so this is a really great intro set for learning and identifying dinosaurs and their names. All the dinosaur names are included in the box as well as an informative description on the back. The box is actually a super sturdy shelving unit, perfect for teaching kids how to organize and clean up after playing. I always expect the best from Melissa & Doug and this set definitely lives up to my expectations. This set would even be a great gift and is an exceptional value for the price. The set is quite large and the presentation is super cute. My daughter loves these dinosaurs and I'm sure she will get hours and hours of play out of them!

Melissa and Doug never fail. We purchased these as a gift for a two year old. They are felted and very sturdy little dinos. He immediately asked for them to be taken out of the packaging so he could play. My two year daughter joined in. They both loved them so much I am considering purchasing her a set, as well.Highly recommend for the littles!

I'm typically a huge fan of Melissa and Doug's minimal packaging, but this one is awful. The entire case is wooden and we have no use for it. It could be a cool display for the dinos if the shelves were wider, but they are too narrow to be useful for a child to use in that manner. The dinos just fall out. The background for each dino is also just flimsy cardboard that's not attached, so they fall out and get damaged.

Came in perfect even explaining what each was. Perfect for toddler hands and of course roaring and biting Nana..lol

They are felted so if you have dogs they will probably get a little hairy, but I couldn’t care less because these are freakin adorable

We have lots of Melissa & Doug puzzles & wooden vehicles, and they are very well-made and what I would consider high quality toys. So I was a bit disappointed when we opened up this dinosaur set. The description said they were felt-covered, but felt-covered what? They are light as air, feel like they're made from styrofoam or thin hollow plastic. The wooden box they come in is probably worth more money than the dinos themselves! And yes, the backgrounds of each compartment are made of card stock, and have holes in them from where the dinos have been attached.All that being said, though, I bought them to use as ornaments on our Christmas tree--in the hopes that my almost-two-year-old dinosaur lover would be preoccupied by these and leave the actual ornaments alone. They are the perfect size, and their very light weight makes them ideal for this purpose. They are so adorable on the tree, I'm thinking we might just keep them with the other decorations and put them on the tree every year. Raddest Christmas tree ornaments ever. AND, even though they feel really flimsy and insubstantial, my son has already thrown them, slammed them on the floor, and stepped on them several times, and they're all still perfectly intact. So I guess they're sturdy enough, they just seem a bit insubstantial. Cute, though! And they're a big hit with my little one (and my cat).
