Great training collar, works better than other ones ive tried and as soon as I put it on her, she knows to mind , I dont even have to tug on it, nice smooth edges too won't harm her skin

The only way to walk a dog who pulls. Or to even walk multiple dogs together. When sized and used properly, these collars do NOT hurt or pinch your dog. They only get a quick reminder Pinch when they, the dog, PULL on the leash - which means the dog is misbehaving. The pinch reminds them to STOP pulling and get back in line and heel or walk properly. Before this collar, walking just one of my dogs was a nightmare - so I just avoided it. Now I can walk all 3 of them at once! A 100# GSD, 50# Mix, and a 12# Chihuahua. They get excited when they see their collars come out because they know it means we are going for a walk. I put the GSD on a single leash in one hand (or my husband has him if he is home), and the other 2 are together on a double leash in my other hand. And they all walk together nicely, ignoring other dogs, distractions & annoyances that would have priorly had any of them running off leash away from me. And yes, I had tried other methods 1st, such as the Thunder Leash Type mechanisms. 1 dog was just too stubborn to give in no matter which position we tried them in. And I say THEM because we had to buy & replace several of them, because if the dogs ever caught one of them out, they chewed them up. They do NOT chew up their normal leashes. They obviously hated those leashes. Enough said? Quality counts. I only buy this brand of prong collar because I can trust that the prongs are NOT sharp (polished very smooth!) & that the metal will NOT rust (nor will the coating rub off over time). I won't entrust my dog to some cheap knock-off with sharp prongs and a coating that will wear off, change colors & rust just to save a few dollars. Also note, this is the Quick Release type of Prong Collar. This is easier for most woman or anyone with weaker hands to use. However it is not recommended for very long haired dogs as their hair can get entangled in the release mechanism. The regular type of prong collar (will not have the release mechanism and be a closed loop of chain) requires the collar to be opened and closed at a prong to put it on and off each time. The same way you would add or remove prongs to the collar to adjust the sizing. NOTE: You NEVER remove a Martingale Prong Collar by pulling it over the dog's head! (Martingale refers to the loop of chain between the prongs). For the super-squeamish 1st time prong collar user, you can also buy rubber tips to put over the prongs. However, you should also be instructed in how to use and size a prong collar by a dog trainer before using one for the 1st time, therefore making the rubber tips unnecessary. The collars are fitted high on the neck, not low. Above their regular collar.

Love the quick release, the even distribution of pressure, ease of use, ease of removal of prongs, and how it stops pulling and keeps my cheeky dog from lunging forward. Fits a size neck of 16" perfectly with an extra link or so; that's my only quam. I just wish you didn't have to purchase extra links for like five bucks a piece... SMH! But with quality comes that draw back. Works beautifully, and is lightweight, as long as you have it properly sized, high &, snug. Make sure it sits right behind the ears. I made that mistake and it was too loose the collar did not work as well, Lesson learned! So comfortable that my dog doesn't mind.

With the right technique, the prong can be an extremely valuable tool in setting a strong foundation of trust and leash manners with your dog. Coming back to the quality, Herm Sprenger is probably one of the best bets when it comes to safety as well as make. There are many cheap Chinese models and knockoffs of the same, please stay away from them!
