These cups and saucers arrived quickly and in proper packaging to protect them from damage in transit. They are excellent quality, thin, and beautiful. The coloration varies between pieces, which is to be expected for truly handmade items. This may be the most perfect pattern ever produced by the Imperial Porcelain Factory. It blends seamlessly for every occasion. New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, May Day, Summer Solstice, the 4th of July, Pioneer Day, Autumn Harvest, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Winter Solstice, Christmas, and birthdays. Whatever you are up to, even just a simple moment for yourself at the breakfast table, a 5 o’clock tea, or an after dinner cup to finish the day, this is that buy it for life bone china. For anyone who may think it odd to use Russian porcelain for the 4th of July, Catherine the Great of Russia, a great patron of the company, refused a tidy sum from King George to provide him assistance during the Revolutionary War. The Russians could have crushed us then, but instead elected to rebuff the King of England in favor of helping the United States to achieve independence. Most Americans have no idea the United States would never have existed if the Russians had made a different choice!

I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to do so because before I ordered this Lomonosov tea cup, there was only one review that gave this tea cup one star. I almost didn't order as a result, but decided to give it a try since I specifically wanted a tea cup with pink tulips. The tea cup is lovely! It sits firmly in the saucer and looks just like the online photo. I cannot compare it to any other Lomonosov porcelain (although I do own a collection of other tea cups), but I will say I am very happy with this purchase!

I purchased several Lomonosov teacups for Christmas gifts. All are different, and all are beautiful. Some years ago, I bought a set and I was surprised by current prices. I assume it has something to do with the Trump tariff wars. This is a very special company, and if you are a tea drinker, you will feel good every time you use your personal work of art.
