I never really cared much for Windows laptops or Microsoft products in general, finding them rather clumsy - but this laptop is officially, a game changer. The Surface 4 has blown me away and cast a whole new light of potential for what the future of Microsoft will potentially bring. This is one slick, well made, ultra chic and refined piece of professional computing equipment that gives FruitBooks a run for their money. Finally! The 2k resolution touchscreen is visually striking, with incredible contrast, detail, and the perfect balance of saturation with great blacks. 2. Touch sensitivity is spot on - no lag, no dead zones, totally responsive 3. 8gbs of ram didn't seem like much at first, but the hardware is tuned in to work with the software so well, that this really is enough memory (for most people) 4. Fast processor allows multitasking with ease, never stutters or skips a beat. 5. SILENT. I'm assuming the laptop has a fan in it, but I have yet to hear it. :) 6. ATTRACTIVE - this is one very, very, good looking laptop. I got the matte black version which is simply, stunning with its clean stylings and understated elegance. 7. Touchpad is Fruitbook quality! Multi gesture support etc. Perfect 8. ZERO BLOATWARE!!! Seriously amazing! 9. Incredible battery life and wicked fast 2 hour charging from empty to fully charged. 10. lightweight. 11. Keyboard will be an easy transition for Fruitbook users... pretty much identical in layout, feel, and tactile feedback. 12. Magsafe charging port. CONS: 1. No pen included to use with the touchscreen. 2. touchscreen doesn't fold all the way back. But this is a preference I would have liked, and not so much a neg, per say. 3. RAM is not upgradeable, although this doesn't seem like it will get in the way as much as it would with cheaper, low quality laptops. 4. no dedicated graphics card, so gaming is pretty much out of the question. BOTTOM LINE: Fruitbook Pro better watch out...this new line of Surface products brings a lot to the table with the added convenience of a Windows 10 operating system environment. Microsoft Surface 4 laptop is perfect for professionals looking for a competent, reliable, and powerful laptop that just works, while staying out of the way and letting you do you. Really blown away by this thing, definitely didn't think I'd be saying that. Buy with confidence, you won't regret it.

Literally a $1300 text editor. Wanted to play NFS after a long time and the game is so blurry ! The performance is so poor ! Ok for coding and reading. Would go for a macbook pro instead of this typewriter ! annoyed and disappointed. wanted to try a non-mac product after a long time and guess I would never try that again !

Taking the Surface Laptop 4 out of the box, the first thing you notice is how solid it feels. The matte black metallic body finish looks and feels like the highest quality you could ever wish for. The body feels solid yet it is sleek and lightweight. Although the screen is large (15") this lightweight laptop is transportable and convenient to use on long journeys (in-flight or on the train or bus) because of it's outstanding battery life. I easily got over 10 hours of use on one charge. Ports - On a slim laptop like this, there is no Ethernet port - you will need to use a USB C adapter if (like me) you prefer wired connections rather than Wi-Fi. This is no problem these days because most new adapters are very small (slim) and they have many extra ports including HDMI, Ethernet and extra USB A ports if you need them. Another thing I miss is a built-in fingerprint reader. I much prefer logging on with a fingerprint rather than typing a password. It's so much more convenient. But again, there are optional fingerprint readers out there that simply plug into the laptop and give you that extra functionality. Touch Screen - The 15" touch screen is outstanding - very clear, bright and responsive with good viewing angles. It handles multi-point gestures perfectly and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of touch responsiveness. Keyboard - I love the appearance and design of the keyboard - the keys are clearly marked with crisp white on black Alpha text - such a simple and classic design. Performance - This is easily the fastest laptop I have ever owned. It literally boots up in a few seconds. CPU processing when rendering graphics or video is fast. You won't be waiting around for things to finish. When the CPU is under a high workload the fan kicks in but with hardly any fan noise - if you can even hear it at all. Top marks for day to day processing speed but obviously, this is not a laptop for intensive game players. I don't hesitate to recommend this absolutely stunning piece of engineering. ABSOLUTELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++

I truly madly deeply insanely love this laptop. First and foremost is the aspect ratio. This is one of the fewest laptops in the market that has 3:2 aspect ratio. It has a higher display vs wider display. It's great for reading long letters and viewing photos. The second thing that I like is the charging port is magnetic. When I carry my laptop away from desk, I don't snag the cable accidentally. I think all laptops should have this type of charging port. The keyboard and display pad are silky smooth. Typing for a long time on this laptop is less strenuous. The key buttons are low profile (low key travel distance) and the display pad is big. It's silky smooth. One compromising feature is this laptop has 1 USB port and 1 USB C port in exchange of slimmer laptop. The laptop is very slim. This slimness leaves no room for auxiliary ports such as USB and HDMI. Therefore, I carry a USB hub whenever I travel.

Speed of this laptop is great. It is lightweight. Dislike: The charging cable is a joke, using a magnetic connection to keep the charging cable connected to the laptop is hardly a workable situation unless you are never going to move your laptop. Movement constantly disconnecting the power cable. Bad design.

I had this laptop for less than 10 minutes before it was back in the box and ready to be shipped back.
