Vivere Cotton Hammock Chair with Hardwood Spreader Bar - 250 lb Capacity (Denim)

I was looking to replace a hammock chair that was falling apart (bought in Mexico), and decided upon this chair in the blue. It was very easy to assemble, comfortable and attractive. I did purchase a hammock spring to enhance the motion for this item. We use it outside, under our deck in a protected area. I also sprayed it with waterproofing fabric spray, just for extra protection. We have been very happy with this item, so much so that we just purchased another to give to my mother in law for her birthday. (She has the same type we had before, and it is starting to look pretty shabby.) Comfortable, functional, and attractive. Seems much sturdier than the one we had before. Recommend.

These are great! I'm 6'2" and can easily and comfortably curl up in them. They seem very sturdy, but only time will tell.

This hammock chair is cute, and I love the color, but it just isn’t that comfortable to sit in. The fabric squeezes my body too much (I’m a smaller women- 140 lbs., so I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it would be for people in larger bodies) and the fabric around your head blocks any view where it’s a tunnel vision situation. It’s slightly more comfortable if I put my feet in the chair, so the fabric doesn’t dig into my thighs. It’s not so bad that I’m returning the two I bought, but I do wish it was more comfortable.

Unlike a hammock which gives you range of motion, this hammock chair requires that your hands remain inside the ride at all times, and the width is not man-sized. When I sit in it my body gets squished, and I can't really do anything but sit in it (eg. play a game with a controller, or use a keyboard/mouse). I don't think this one has a place in anyones living room, but maybe to sit out on a porch and enjoy watching the sunset it is not so bad.

I bought this chair for my daughter's room. It works really well for the space. My daughter loves to sit in it and read or listen to music, She wanted a calming, hang-out space. The fabric does have rich colors though they are not as bright as the pictures on the website. The fabric is soft and doesn't feel scratchy like outdoor fabrics can sometimes. The upper hanging loop of the chair is metal covered in the macrame cording, so it seems sturdier than I thought it might be. The wood cross bar is smooth and has a finish on it. Overall, everything seems fairly durable. My only concern so far is that if my daughter tilts too much side to side the loops that join the body of the swing to the cross bar slip out of the notch that they rest in and slide to the other end tipping the swing to one side.

We really like the fabric, style and simplicity of the Hammock Chair, however it lacks functionality and safety. Slides to one side or the other regardless of which end you place the straps, very jarring and uncomfortable. Did it 3 out of 10 times that we attempted to sit in it, glad I wasn’t holding a drink 😬 Also, contacted the company about the defect. Other hammocks have a knot through the wood bar securing the hammock in place. Bummer, sending it back.

Love this swing and so does my 7 year old granddaughter. It hangs in my garden and is her designated reading spot. I would purchase this again (and might for my front deck). You will not be disappointed if you purchase it. Remember to purchase the hanging hardware which is separate from the chair purchase.

Item was packaged and shipped well. Cloth is soft and looks just like in the pictures. But it is just too dusty. There is so much lint particles spilling off of the item, when i opened it, and it was installed on the hammock for 5 days being used and this morning it is still leaving out particles all over. I am using it indoor and it is such a pain. I have taken it off the hammock today to wash it and see how it holds. But found out it has to be hand washed. With so much particulate stuff being shed off it, i wish it was pre-washed before being shipped.

Great product. Using it as a swing for son who is special needs. It's in his room. Only down fall is you have to buy hardware to attach it to the ceiling or C stand for the hammock separate. I bought the C stand and all in all spent almost $300 for hammock and stand.

Its durable. Colours are vibrant. I've had difficulty finding a spring that would fit over the knotted rope loop for it to hang, it's very thick. I used a big carabiner till I find a solution

Holds me and my two kids no problem. We love it. Well made and very strong and sturdy. I Wanted to buy a second one but they were all sold out. We have this hung in the kids playroom in our basement and it's well worth every dollar. It's beautifully made and the colours are bright. I can't say enough good things about it.
