Jingdezhen Porcelain Gaiwan,Chinese Ceramic Kuangfu Tea Bowl Cup,6.08oz

The ceramic is extremely sturdy and thin. Compared to a Noritake tea cup this gaiwan is even thinner while retaining all of it's strength (see photo for transparency comparison.) The white color of the ceramic is very bright and a great aid in comparing tea liquor color. The lid also doesn't slide around uncontrollably.I'm extremely happy with it and it is now my everyday go to brewing vessel and is my first choice for comparing teas.

Beautiful...delicate....easily held. It's like an art piece. Will buy another to have a set.

I just received this about a week ago and have been using it about once a day. I really love how elegant it looks and it definitely feels like refined and well-crafted porcelain. However, just yesterday, I noticed a hairline crack that some tea stains has managed to sneak into. I'm not sure if it was there from the start and was just invisible before the staining, or if I accidentally cracked it (although I've been very careful with it and have only been washing it by hand and it hasn't seen any abuse). Luckily it doesn't leak any water, but I am a bit more cautious of using it now.

It’s light and the craftsmanship is beautiful. I enjoyed using it.I was hoping it comes with a brand logo at the bottom of the gaiwan to make it more authentic but there’s none.
