it works
The thing about waxing yourself is, you need to know WHAT YOU ARE DOING Most of the problems I read in reviews of waxing products can be caused by the user not understanding the product, how to use it, how to effectively remove hair and, their own skin and body. People with different skin and hair types, will have different results, fine hairs break more easily and can be harder to catch in wax, thick and coarse hair, can be harder to remove in one swipe. the hair has to be long enough for the wax to have enough to grab, that can vary with hair type, my hair is fine so I don't need as much length as some, experiment... Make sure your skin is clean, oil on skin and hair, can reduce the grabbing ability humid and hot weather, sweating, can interfere with this warm the wax, a machine warmer will keep it warm and at a safe temperature. it just needs to be warm enough to flow on without pulling and stick to the skin, a bit of warmth will open hair follicles. APPLY WAX AGAINST THE GROWTH OF HAIR, PULL INTO THE DIRECTION OF HAIR GROWTH if your product is dumb enough to say the opposite, ignore it... removing against the growth is more likely to break hair off at the skin resulting in faster regrowth and ingrown hairs. Pull hair out in the direction it grows. you can apply the wax to a larger area but, it is easier and less painful if you apply the strip to a small section at a time. example, apply the wax to about 2" wide up your shin, place the strip on the wax and pull it up, a bit, against the growth direction of hair, to get a good grip then hold the skin taunt and pull down quickly in a small section at a time at a slight diagonal until you lift all the wax you applied. you have to hold the skin tight as you pull the strip QUICKLY and pull it along your skin, not up or to the side. pull parallel to your body, you are less likely you are to bruise yourself, for example, if you are waxing hair off your shin, pull the strip along your shin, not at a high angle above it. This does make bikini and some other waxing more difficult, the skin is not as tight in some areas, that makes it important to wax small areas and, keep the skin tight as you pull parallel and quickly. Tender areas bruise more easily, experiment with small sections of wax This product worked great for me delighted to find a great quality product but, not everyone will have the same result with products. I use a hard wax for facial hairs learning how to do it is a great money and time saver, and, in some areas it is difficult to find a professional who knows what they are doing so, worth learning how.

First time user for sugar wax. Good but please read on for my personal tips!
I had a dilemma today. I needed to wax today and realized that I forgot to order my usual wax kit on Amazon in advance. I looked for a possible same day delivery in my area and came across this one. As usual, I read through the reviews to see if this will be a good fit for me. I read many complaints about how sticky and messy this sugar wax is and how it doesn’t pick up all the hairs. However I bit the bullet and decided to take a chance since I’m on a time crunch. It is my first time using sugar wax so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve been waxing for about 3 years now, and even though I don’t consider myself a professional by any means, I thought I would take out the time to give some advice as I was able to have a good waxing experience with Parissa organic sugar wax. Before I give you my tips, please read their instruction pamphlet. Please buy a wax warmer - I cannot imagine doing waxing without one. Here are my tips: 1) Set the intention of having a good waxing experience. Get your phone/tablet and put some music on or if you’re like me, make this a time to listen to a self improvement podcast. 2) Find an old bed sheet that you don’t mind getting dirty and lay it on the floor where you will wax. Buy parchment paper and set some sheets where you will be waxing. Have baby powder, and a scissor to be able to cut your strips for the right size when doing smaller areas. They say that the strips with this kit are reusable since you can wash them. Sorry but that’s a bit too much for me. I’d rather stick to buying more strips and throwing them out after one use. Home waxing is much cheaper than a professional wax at a salon. You will need extra wax strips. Buy an extra set and always have one more just in case you need it. Don’t reuse the same strip if you’re trying to avoid messy situations or irritated skin/brushing. 3) Have proper lighting! Great lighting goes a long way. 4) Have a paper bag on the side exclusively to throw out your used strips. 5) Have a standing face mirror and tweezer available for any quick plucking if needed. 6) I use coconut oil afterwards and lather it on my skin to remove any wax and it also leaves your skin very soft. Go take a shower and you are all done till next time! I hope these tips will help any beginners out there who are struggling with home waxing and remember that you will become better each time you do it. Have patience and save lots of $$$ doing it for yourself and also not missing any spots at all!

Not good for thick hair; does not pull from root and does not pull cleanly from skin.
Not good for thick or course/stubborn hairs. It didn't pull out from the root, only the surface. I even used in areas were hairs were not thick and again it wasn't strong enough to pull from the root. It also stays tacky and sticky so if your skins warm or if there is any humidity in your room, it wont pull off cleanly no matter how tightly you hold your skin. Only good think about this is that it is water soluable so it wipes of clean with warm water. I would no recommend for thick hair at all. You will be left with patches and the hair will still be in the root and grow back quicker. I even used for my eyebrows where the hair is finer and it also did not wax cleanly or get any of the fine hairs.

Broke out and not as smooth as I’d like
Pros ~ organic formula and reusable strips are super easy to clean. The sugar wax itself is pretty easy to use and a little goes a long way. Not as painful as I imagined either! Cons ~ need some way to heat the wax (I don’t use or have microwave), my legs broke out in little red bumps, didn’t catch all the hair (which was long enough) and didn’t make it super smooth like I’d hoped.

Sugar Wax review
The overall experience is okay if used according to instruction. But there are just 2 big and 2 small wooden sticks inside, which is definitely not enough.

If you have never waxed at home before, this definitely takes some trial and error. A lot of comments saying to apply it AGAINST the hair growth... don't do this. Apply it DOWN your leg (not up), and tear the strip UPWARDS, and use a THIN layer; really get it warmed up, don't use it thick. The thinner the layer the better. 3rd go doing it and my results for legs and armpits are awesome and barely hurts unlike the first time, and the strip things can just be rinsed and dried. Do recommend - you just have to get the hang of it. Sad about the price hike on this one; happy to buy on special.

This sugar wax works really well once you get the hang of it. It’s a bit sticky and takes some practice, but I love that it’s natural and easy to clean up with just water. It pulls hair effectively and leaves my skin feeling smooth without the harsh chemicals. Definitely worth it if you want a more natural hair removal option.

It works well, the strips are washable which is really handy, it's a bit messy and sticky but just wiped straight off with warm water, unlike wax which seems to hang around forever. I did miss some bits but I expected that with my first time using it. My only negative is rhat I used half a tub on two legs, but that might have been because I wasn't quite doing it right to start with and was putting it on too thick, got the hang of it now though

Loveeee this. It is so quick and easy to wax. Plus it's reusable, you can wash the cloth with hot water, dry it and its good again. The sugar wax is nice and sticky, I lowkey tasted it:). It tastes good as well, like caramel. It doesn't hurt to wax, and the wax comes out nicely. 10/10, plus with the price, I can't complain.
