"Gimme eight, octopus!"
I am absolutely delighted by Jan Peck's story, "Way Down Deep in the Deep Blue Sea." And not because I happen to love scuba diving and swimming. The sweet book is a children's story that takes you on an extraordinary underwater adventure that is nothing short of magical. From the moment I opened its pages, I was transported to a world teeming with vibrant marine life and filled with the boundless curiosity of the young protagonist. Petrone's illustrations burst with color and life, immersing me in the breathtaking beauty of the deep blue sea. The story's lyrical rhyming carries you along on a journey that is both educational and heartwarming, and teaches the wonders of the natural world. I especially love that the kid is not afraid of whales or sharks. "Way Down Deep in the Deep Blue Sea" is a true gem that sparks the imagination and leaves readers, young and old, with a sense of wonder and a deep appreciation for the treasures that lie beneath the waves. This book is an absolute must-read for any kid/teacher seeking to dive into a world of imagination and discovery!
