Alex Orthopedic Travel Folding Cane MP-11044, Celestial

I have psoriatic arthritis and I’m not exactly thrilled to use a cane at my age but this one is cute and it makes me feel better about it. Like I said, I love the design. The stars and moon is super nice. I like that I can fold it up and put it in a larger back on days I feel better in case I start feeling that I need it. It folds and unfolds rather easily.

I like the folding cane as it can be stored easily when not in use. Mine fits in the seatback pocket of my car until the knee goes out without me. It is nice to have a touch of fun with the design on the staff of the cane. The handle is sturdy and comfortable, the adjustments are simply and easily done, and it holds much more weight than I am ever going to put on it. Good grip top and bottom, doesn't get in the way, is available when I need it, cheap enough, and a touch of fun when I need it. Not bad for a boomer in denial of aging.

You have to use a cane? Bad luck. I had to get one after a hip replacement, and this is the one I got. That was 3 years ago; after lots of rehab I was able to walk, climb, etc. fine with no cane - yet I still keep it in my car and bring it on trips because it is compact and handy for a little extra push on steep slopes, rocky climbs (like hiking around Krak des Chevaliers in Syria) ... AND ... it has moons and stars so it's elegant and fun and takes some of the sting out of hobbling around feeling decrepit.

The design on this cane was more subtle than I expected, which was good. The cane folded easily, and unfolded just as easily, which also was good. I recently took an airline trip and the folded cane went through security x-rays with no trouble. This was my primary reason for buying a folding style cane.But, when I walk using the cane, it feels as if it is flexing somewhat, which is not so good. Also, the cane makes quite a bit of noise during use, which is downright bad.

However the ink or paint rubs off all over your hands, hoping this will eventually wear off. Also the paint is bighter on different sections of cane, some areas look more faded.

Item was as advertised but finish was missing color in a couple of places. Maybe a good idea to inspect before shipping. Also said was sent FedEx but actually USP

Hurt my knee just before vacation and couldn't change plans.So my new cane carried my through 17 days of walking through the UK and performed perfectly.
