Indespendinle midi modernisation dongle
Makes my older synths that bit better, also built one into an old midi controller keyboard to make it wireless.

This thing is legit
After trying cheaper options that were literally useless as they couldn’t play back midi data in time, i tried this & it works flawlessly. There is latency obviously but it’s extremely low and constant so you can adjust the rest of your hardware accordingly.

Not even close!
Despite following the convoluted installation process correctly (and that after a LOT of Googling) this thing doesn't work as promised. It is SLOW and flakey and just doesn't make a stable connection. Hugely disappointing and thus returned, tout de suite.

Fiddly to setup and then kaput :(
Worked ok after an hour or two fiddling with settings. Three days later it failed to power on. Returned.

Great idea, does what it says.
Just what I needed for remote of control a number of effects from my Android tablet, running the WIDI Jack into a 5 port breakout box. It does't re-establish the bluetooth connection on power-up; you need to use the BLE MIDI app and let that run in the background but once set up it's a doddle to get it working. As I'm only sending PGM and CC messages, latency is not an issue so I have set it to "reduce jitter" and it is giving solid, error-free service. I found a somewhat limited bluetooth compatible controller app for Android after a bit of exploration - there is a clear gap in the app market though, as I couldn't find an Android app (and I'd be happy to pay for one) that could send a combined PGM/CC/ WhatHaveYou message.

reliable and just as easy as midi cords
So far this product has been great for me, and has been working exactly as I hoped. Its been pretty much plug and play with no troubleshooting for me. Haven't noticed any sort of delay. However I don't really use this with a bunch of blue tooth midi so not sure if it has drawbacks there, I usually just have two devices connected - a synth or sampler connected to a Bluetooth midi controller. I have also been able to connect it with my ipad (using korg gadget app) and it has worked to sync clock and midi input.- pros- given you have compatible devices, is pretty much plug and play. haven't had a issue connecting yet.- can be externally powered via usb c or powered by the midi out from your device.- not locked down to a specific midi cable type given you have the adapters.- works with A and B midi- has a built in magnet and comes with a separate sticky magnet so you can mount it on your devices if you have the room.cons-- the female jacks on the unit are NOT 3.5mm TRS and for some reason they are 2.5mm TRS. Not the end of the world but strange to me since 3.5mm is (in my experience) way more common plus I already owned a plethora of 3.5mm cables and 3.5mm to midi cables. It also seems strange that they picked this because the size difference between the two isn't that big. This information was also pretty buried on the store page so that came as a surprise when I received it. I want to think there was a valid reason for this, but it stinks of a strategy to get you to buy their cables.- the blinking status light is kind of bright and distracting, especially if you are transmitting a clock over midi ( it blinks on midi input and blinks repeatedly clock sync). When I am just goofing around with my sampler and controller at my desk I literally hide the widi jack underneath something or else the blinking light kind of drives me crazy because its surprisingly bright and piercing.

Does exactly what it says on the tin, and does it well
I have two MIDI wind controllers, both purporting to support MIDI over Bluetooth. The issue has been that Microsoft gives the barest of nods to even HAVING MIDI over Bluetooth support, and for the life of me I could not get either controller to work over Bluetooth to my Windows PC. This has been a perennial issue with MIDI and Windows, and nothing I tried would work. One of the controllers would work over USB-C, but that wasn't the issue. Bluetooth was the issue, and that simply refused to work. Not for Apple products, mind you. Apple has a very nicely working implementation of MIDI over Bluetooth. It just happens that I own ZERO Apple products. I did eventually make those wind controllers work via Bluetooth using another one of CME's products, the WIDI Bud Pro.So imagine my delight to see another CME product available that would provide connectivity to a device that had two 3.5mm TRS jacks for MIDI In and Out, and connect to my Windows PC seamlessly. The instrument itself has no Bluetooth, so this device, the WIDI Jack, would provide it. I already had the Bud Pro, so I immediately ordered the Jack and the appropriate TRS-35 MIDI cables to connect to my MIDI instrument (a Polyend Play, for those playing the home game). When the Jack arrived, I plugged the TRS-35 cables into it, then into the Polyend Play, and opened up Reaper, my DAW of choice. Within moments, I was able to record MIDI tracks in Reaper. With NO MIDI CABLES between the instrument and my computer. Latency was completely unnoticeable, so it was probably in the single-digit millisecond range advertized by CME.The WIDI line of products is, in my opinion, the best connectivity option for MIDI instruments and controllers currently on the market. I would not willingly do without them at this point.
