MMM...feeding our unhealthy obsessions (YES! Please, and Thank You)
I'm going to start by saying that I've had an admittedly unhealthy obsession with HP for a long time now. The HP series has been in my top 5 Romance reads of all time for a few years straight. Book two, MYM, was my favorite of the series because I felt like true redemption happened for Lips in that book. Her tormentors finally start to see her for who she is and they face some soul searching moments trying to figure out how to rectify their past actions. I LOVE that book.I will add though that in MYM we really only get Lips perspective and she is clueless about how the guys actually see her and feel about her, so in certain scenes in MYM I sometimes felt the guys came off a bit disinterested, or cold, especially Ash, so to hear that J. Bree was going to release MMM from the guys pov, I could not have been more thrilled and as the release date drew near, I could not get into reading anything else. My mind would not settle until I had this beauty clutched in my greedy stalker hands.I preordered, so the book arrived at 9pm my time and I immediately dove in. Come 3am I'm at about the 70% mark and I can't fight sleep any longer but man, what an awesome binge night.I'll quickly repeat a few things that a lot of others are also commenting on.- Although this is an alternate POV story, it didn't feel like a rehash of the original. There are genuinely loads of new scenes and even the ones we may be familiar with bring so much new light to them, it feels like seeing a work of art from a different angle.- Ash!!! While I've always thought Ash was sexy, he was never my favorite and that's largely due to how emotionally shut down he is about everything other than Avery. I concur with the other many reviewers who commented that it was awesome to understand how deep his obsession with Lips really goes.- I appreciate that all of these characters felt "true" to the way they were portrayed in the HP series. Even though we get a deeper glimpse into their minds, they didn't feel like different characters. They were still the same unique and damaged a**holes we know and love from the original series. 😘RatingsCharacter building: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐World building: 🌎 🌎 🌎 🌎 🌎Romance: 💓 💓 💓 1/2 (this is not a bad rating, book two is where it all starts to come together, but in a true slow build manner, the romance increases as the books continue)Heat/steam: 🔥 🔥 🔥 1/2 ( again, this is a slow burn but MMM felt a little more steamy because we get to see what's really going on in the guys heads and their growing intrigue and obsessive has a definite smexy slant to it.)Action: 🍿 🍿 🍿Suspense: 💣 💣 1/2Drama: 👀 👀 👀 👀Dark: 💀 💀 💀Triggers: HP is well known for some dark themes around rape, attempted murder, actual murder, torture (book two is on the lighter end of all that as it's more setting the stage for the relationship development, but there is talk of all these potential triggers).POV: Multiple views, alternating between the guys.Ending: Cliffhanger, but no fear. Just go read the rest of the series!Recommend: YES 👍

Totally Awesome!
Great book and should be read after one reads the Hannaford 4 book series! “Make My Move” compliments the Hannaford series in that it allows you to see/understand the depth of love/caring the boys are feeling for Lips. You get this from the 4 book series, but so much more in this book since its from the boys point of view. Having 5 strong major characters to write about it can get hard to allow everyone’s thoughts and feelings to come out and this book helps bring it all together. Love these 5 characters and I hope Ms. Bree will continue to write about them. I was hoping to experience college with them and beyond…these 5 are beautiful people! Sometimes an author writes characters you bond/click with and these 5 are that to me!

Such a wonderful addition
This book gave us the boys' POV and it was just as amazing as Lips'. If you loved the Hannaford series, you will love this book as well!

Finally getting in the minds of the Mounty’s men!
This is the book I never knew I needed! Going back to sophomore year at Hannaford Prep was pure nostalgia and I was here for every second of it.Since the original four Hannaford Prep books were told from Lips’ POV, getting a deeper look into the boys’ minds was everything I never knew I was missing. Loved that it picked up in sophomore year, when they’re all starting to confront their feelings for Lips and when they’re the most confused about who she is outside of the halls of Hannaford Prep. They’re all possessive of her in their own ways and they don’t realize how deep they are in it until they’re all already in love with her.I’ve always loved Harley. Reading about him in the original books made me love him so much - his Mounty origins make him the perfect fit for Lips. Finally getting his POV is this book was great. You always knew he was willing to do a lot to protect her once they got together, but seeing him do it even before then was so perfect for his character. His angsty behavior was endearing...he really didn’t want to lose her to either of his best friends or do anything to mess things up.I think the real value of this book was that it gave Blaise and Ash so much more depth to their characters and helped me to fall in love with them too. I always appreciated how they brought something different to the relationship than Harley, but I didn’t fully understand the inner workings of their brains until now.Blaise has so many insecurities about himself because of his father that it breaks my heart. He’s a rockstar, but he’s still so broken because he feels like he’ll never be enough based on his dad’s crazy expectations. But reading about him working through his feelings for Lips was so sweet. He spent so much of the original book coming in high or drunk, but we finally see his inner sweetheart and romantic hidden underneath all of his rockstar facade.Ash is maybe my new favorite guy after this book. He’s so stubborn and hard on himself, especially when it comes to Lips...her friendship with Avery, her sketchy connections, his feelings about her. But, when it came down to it, he saw just how far she was willing to go to keep them all safe and, of course in a twisted and bloody way, he finally gives in and realizes that she’s just like him, making her perfect in every way.I always wondered what it was like in the boys’ dorm room and finally getting a peek behind those walls was everything I wanted and more. Really hoping there’s more Ash/Blaise/Harley POV books to come!

Such fun!
I really enjoyed reading the story from the guys POV, I've wanted that since book 1. So cute to see from both sides. The nbc joke is great twice too lol thanks for that!

Astounding, Amazing, Awe-inspiring - ALL the words and the feels
So this book is essentially the same book as Make Your Move - Book 2 in the Hannaford Prep series, but It is told from the 3 guys' perspectives. Ash, Harley, and Blaise. But SOMEHOW, J Bree has made this feel like a completely new book. I can't properly express how good this book is, especially if you already love and are invested in the Hannaford world, as it (and all of J's books) are so emotive that words don't do them justice. This book/Make Your Move are the turning point between the initial standard Academy Bully romance storyline and the deeper, more intricate family-based saga it becomes. Now I've read these POVs (point of views), I can't ever imagine them not existing! They feel like a necessity, like they've always been there and it took J Bree's genius to bring them to life.PLEASE read this, and I would recommend reading Make Your Move first (if not the whole 4 book series first). Some people have said they will read the chapters from both books side by side, but I believe that could spoil the enjoyment of the flow of each book overall. Whatever you do, you definitely won't regret picking this up and adding to your knowledge of the Mounts Bay Saga!

Gird your loins, it's the boys' turn.
So for those of you who have already read the Hannaford Prep Quadrilogy or the Omnibus, this book occurs at the same time as Make Your Move, the difference being that this is written from Harley, Blaise, and Ash's perspectives. From the opening chapter to the last, J. Bree manages to yet again pull you into the world of Hannaford Prep and Mounts Bay, where you would willingly remain for just that one extra glimpse of her beloved characters. We get to see each of their obsessions grow, Avery's interactions with the boys while Lips is not around, and you get a greater insight into the damage that the boys all try and hide, in particular Blaise and Ash. The chapter where Lips has to perform in front of the school for her choir class is one that I will happily reread multiple times, as it was one of my favourite scenes from MYM, and will make you squee and giggle with glee.I really hope we get more of the boys' POV, because now that J. Bree had given us a taste (thanks to Laura Frazier), I don't think her ravenous Mounties will be satisfied until she's provided us a full banquet of perspectives. I know I can't wait!Thank you, J. Bree, for writing these characters in the first place, and giving us more of them when asked/begged. Please, never stop writing.

100% great read!
I'm always a little suspicious of books that are the other side of a story - what if it doesn't fit, what if the chemistry isn't there. That being sad having had a few scenes from the boys point of view I wasnt worried. It was amazing from start to finish. I particularly loved seeing ash's point of view and his changes and dealing with his emotions. I absolutely need book three and four to be written from the boys side now as well!

Trying to contain all of my emotions reading this was interesting.
Trying to contain all of my emotions reading this was interesting. I loved Make Your Move and seeing how Lips experienced everything, but getting the guys point of view, perfection.I loved how Ash went from not trusting Lips at all, to realising that he could fall in love with her if he let himself. Getting the inner thoughts for when she goes out of her way to protect Avery and getting his confusion when he doesn’t understand her.I loved Blaise trying to stay away from her but not being able to resist the pull. I’ve always been a fan of the chapter when Lips takes Averys pain medication for her leg, but getting Blaise’ inner thoughts was entertaining. And Harley, he knows what he wants but he’s so unsure about everything! Having his POV from Joeys party was awesome.I have to admit I loved seeing what the guys were thinking when the bomb of who she is in the Bay drops! And when they decided that they were all wanting to be with her... if you loved Make your Move then you definitely wanna know what the guys we’re thinking!!

Fantastic version.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Wow, what an absolutely fantastic insight to guys by getting their POV’s for Make Your Move! I’m so glad J Bree did this as a gift to her friend but then shared with us all!I read this in tandem with Make Your Move so I was getting a play by play from all angles and I’d so recommend everyone does this at least once! I got the list from J Bree’s reader group on Facebook!I honestly have never laughed or squealed so much as I did reading this book. I honestly feel like I got to understand all Blaise, Harley and Ash on a deeper level and just how obsessed with Lips they are. I was able to understand Ash’s hesitance and behaviour a lot more, Blaise’s confusing signals and also how jealous and protective Harley really is.I loved every second of it and would totally read the other books in the guys’ POV if that ever happens!
