Not for 10/100 mbps
Ordered for my fibre to home connection; since my tp link c9 router didn't have a fibre input port. But this product, the MC210CS Works only for >1 Gbps connections, this product is not for 10/100 mbps ftth/broadband connections. For 10/100 mbps connections customers should try the MC110CS.

Good product. Works as expected.
I purchased this product to replace Bell HH3000 modem, so I can connect my EdgeRouter Lite firewall directly to the Internet. TP-Link media converter has been great, but in order to connect to Bell Fibe internet I had to do quite a bit of research. The external interface of your router/firewall has to be configured with PPPoE with MTU 1500 and using your Bell username (starting with b1xxxx) and password with VLAN ID 35. This means the interface PPPoE is attached to needs to have MTU 1508. My config is - interface eth2 with MTU 1508; created VLAN ID 35 interface eth2.35 with MTU 1508; created PPPoE attached to eth2.35 with MTU 1500 and Bell PPPoE username/password (this should come with your modem or you have to call them to get it). I hope this helps.

Great Replacement for Bell Home Hub 3000
Last week I got Bell Fibe500, fibre inside the house and directly into the HH3000 installed. I can't believe HH3000 from Bell has no firewall or security built-in. Also, it does not have an option to put it in the bridge mode. I call Bell Tech Support and they told me to install my pesonal router in Advanced DMZ. What a complicated setup.I used the TP-Link converter to replace my HH3000 and my fibre goes directly into it and than to my ASUS router. I have NO loss of speed. Still shows 550 Up and 530 down.

Works with Virgin Internet
I was able to get rid of Valerie Router and replace it with my own (TP-LinK AC2600). way better, I can notice the difference in performance which is great. It took me 10 Min to do. here is what you have to do:- Buy a router that is capable of PPPoE and VLAN- Call virgin mobile and get the user and password for your 'V2' account- Unplug Valerie and remove the SFP module after lifting up the black cover at the Back. Make sure once the black cover is open to first remove the fiber cable (exposing the SFP module) then you will see a tiny lever on the SFP where you have to lift it up. once done, you will be able to remove it without a lot of force.-plug in the SFP into the MC220L then plug in the fiber cable and you should hear a click.-connect the other RJ45 port to your new router's WAN port-turn everything ON and configure your router as desired but set the WAN/Internet to PPPoE and change the VLAN as following:Internet: VLAN 35VOIP/Phone: VLAN 34IPTV: VLAN 36
