It works well and would have got 5 stars but for the error in the product description.
It does exactly what is required and holds a reasonably sized phone in place. I am marking it down 1 star because the order said USB C connector but I got a USB version delivered. Ironically my car is USB, so I had ordered a USB to USB C converter to go with this. So if the description was accurate I could have saved £9.

A must for wireless Android Auto
Works really well. Will charge/keep my phone topped up whilst running wireless Android Auto.

Perfect for the job
This item performed the task without issues....Pros:Just worked straight out the box, the slim cable made it easy to run down the centre console without the cable being visible and the non-slip pad keep my phone in place.Cons:Cable is a little on the short side, it did reach the socket but only just. The pad is bigger than you might think and takes up a lot of space (but it did fit where I wanted it and the dimensions are clearly advertises).

Worked well for 9 mths then failed
Been in my desk since I bought. Working one day, failed the next. No power, tried 2 other USB plugs. Nothing. Usual Amazon thing. Zero warranty once you're out of short return window.

Should you buy this?
This was bought so that I didn’t have to suffer with trialing cables in the car.When it works and starts charging it is great but this isn’t consistent and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, there is no apparent reason for this that I can see?

Good … but
This charger does exactly what you need and want it to do. However, the base is flexible and if using in a car the surface you rest it on has to be absolutely flat. Any sort of curve and the phone won't charge. This is a problem in most cars as they have very few flat surfaces. We use ours in the kitchen now, and it's very good, just not in the car.
