Awesome to color..look like real stained glass when held up to window
I used the Brutfuner oily colored pencils dark next to light colors...they turned out wonderful...cut them out and put on your windows...look like real stained glass...so much fun and easy to color

Great Coloring Book
This is one of my favorite coloring books. It's essentially greyscale mandalas. The shading makes the results really lovely if you use translucent media. The images are single sided so you can use media that will bleed through (don't forget your blotter page!). The instructions say the images are optimized to use with crayons, but I liked the results with alcohol markers the best. There are 3-4 of the ones with the face (all different, of course) and the rest are just relatively simple mandala types. I have completed this book and am seriously considering ordering another copy because I really enjoyed coloring the images and seeing how they would look with the shading.

♡ Beautiful Coloring Book ♡
I love this coloring book because it is very unique. The artwork turns out beautiful no matter what colors you chose to use. It has a special effect that makes the artwork look so fantastic. I would buy this book again or for a gift. It is very nice and different.

31 Mandala style window designs with special effects – printed on one side of the page
The media could not be loaded. This is a coloring book that purports to give the colorist the ability to have a “stained glass” look to their coloring if they use wax crayons. I tried wax crayons as well as wax-based colored pencils, oil-based colored pencils, alcohol-based markers and water-based markers. While I did like the effect that I got with the wax crayons as well as I did the different effect that I got from alcohol-based markers, I can't say that it looked like a stained glass window.Using wax crayons gave the finished design a glossy look as well as a translucence. Using alcohol-based markers were translucent but not glossy. The other mediums worked okay as well but while some colors were translucent, others did not. Perhaps that was due to a color having a deeper pigment than others.Other than not agreeing with the whole stained glass concept of the book, I liked the designs. They appear to be more of a gray scale design than one with special effects. I did note that all of the designs presented a moiré pattern when I recorded the video and, to a lesser extent, when I took sample photos. Because of that, I assume that there is some sort of special print method being used to enhance the stained glass effect once the designs are colored.I found that I liked coloring the designs in the book even though I didn't feel that the end result looked like an illuminated window. The designs were easy to color if with mostly open areas to fill in. Because of the heavy dark grays, I'm not sure that someone with vision issues would find it as easy as I did. This is what I found out about the book while coloring in it and testing various coloring medium:31 Mandala style stained glass window type designsPrinted in heavy gray/black tones on one side of the pagePaper is medium weight, white, lightly rough and perforated as usual for Creative Haven coloring booksGlue bound but pages can be removed easily at perforationsDesigns stop before the perforationsAlcohol and water based markers bleed through to some degreeGel pens and India ink pens leave shadows of color on the back of the pageColoring pencils work well with this standard Creative Haven paper. Both wax and oil based pencils lay down good color, layer and blend well. Hard lead pencils leave dents on the back of the page.

A little disappointed
i love the concept and the pictures came out just lovely. I gave it three stars because for some reason this paper was very rough on my alcohol brush markers which were not cheap. I’ve used my markers on creative haven books plenty of times so i didn’t think i would have this issue. Also prismacolor pencils didn’t give the desired effect, but Papermate flairs and Zebra Mildliners worked nicely and gave that illuminated effect. The designs are a little too quick and easy though. i’d like something a little more intricate

Different than many coloring books, the use of black in the patterns and background make these a little more challenging
This book and designs are slightly different from other I have purchased. The black lines of the designs vary in thickness. ( they are not a consistent thin outline Like the majority of books ot there ). The pages are also “framed” around the edges. This makes the finished park look a little more sophisticated and less like a coloring page. In some cases making the areas to be colored a bit smaller. This means you might want to do a little more design planning before you begin working on it. Very nice book

Mandalas with a difference
I am not usually a fan of the mandala designs but I DO enjoy greyscale colouring so I thought I would give this a try. Lovely book especially for the price. I did find that softer core pencils get the best results and the finished images are very effective. Glad I gave it a go.

Mooie Mandala's
Leuke mandala's van allerlei soort om in te kleuren met kleurpotloden (voor markers of aquarel is het papier niet geschikt).

AN EXCEPTIONAL COLOURING BOOK
AN EXCEPTIONAL COLOURING BOOK. Beautiful designs that really jump out with wax based pencils. Oil based pencils didn't show up so well and weren't translucent enough. When the designs were coloured with wax based colouring pencils they looked like stained glass windows. I looked up the artist to see what other books he has but no luck there. I hope he's working on other books. a really great book and worth the price. you won't be sorry.
