Teaching whole class reading lessons is a new concept for me and I found that things were becoming a little bit stale. That's why I bought this book. This title has great concepts that are easily adapted to suit the text/age group that you are teaching and in ways that will capture and engage the learners.I only received it at lunch time and I've already had my phase leader and a teacher from another key stage asking if they can borrow it. I'm going to have to keep it under lock and key!

From looking through my copy of Reading Recharged, I know that it is going to be such a hit with my class. The resources are adaptable for guided reading sessions, carousel activities, whole class book time, SATs prep etc. I know that the resources will also easily aid differentiation, especially with my mixed age class. I am looking forward to using this book to add some spark to my lessons.-about to begin my 7th year as a Y5/6 Class teacher.

Although targeted at primary level whole-class reading, most of the suggestions could easily be used or adapted for older students reading individually chosen books, for example, using one word to describe a character and explaining why.If you feel your library lessons are getting a bit stale, this is a great resource at an affordable price that will help to "recharge" them.

Purchased this to help with reading practise lessons. Have to say it hasn’t disappointed. Some original ideas conveniently ordered into the different skills needed. A must for every primary teacher.

A must have book for any primary teacher new or experienced. Fresh, new ideas of activities for each reading domain with easy to follow guidance. A really easy read, which is great for busy teachers!Suitable for group and whole class reading. The activities are exciting for children to help inspire the love of reading and engage them in learning. A fantastic resource!

This book brings so many reading strands and strategies together. The organisation of the book makes it easy to use and it is quite clearly devolved from substantive research and practical tried and tested classroom practices. A superb read for any educationalist at any point in their career. Massive well done to Al Barton for all his hard work 😊😊
