Victron Energy Cyrix-CT 12/24-Volt 230 Amp Intelligent Battery Coupler

Habe einen Ersatz für meinen defekten Septor 1274 duo gebraucht und bin durch Zufall auf dieses Gerät gestoßen. Ich wollte die Version mit LED haben. Leider ist die Dokumentation, besonders was den Lieferumfang betrifft, sehr dürftig. Tatsächlich ist nur das Kabel für die Überbrückungsfunktion enthalten, jedoch ohne Schalter. Die Anschlußschrauben haben 8mm Durchmesser (Muttern sind natürlich dabei), also bitte beim Kauf der Kabelschuhe berücksichtigen. Dass mein Septor defekt ist habe ich übrigens erst bemerkt, nachdem ich an beide Batterieeinheiten (1 x Starter, 2 x Verbraucher, parallel geschaltet) jeweils einem Victron Smart Battery Sense zur Überwachung angeschlossen habe. Daher weiß ich auch, dass der Cyrix zuverlässig schaltet.

Easy installation. Instructions a bit vague, need to definitely connect the ground wire (duh). The ignition start exciter wire is optional. Don't forget to have the proper fuse/breaker for the power transfer cable. Have run this for 5 hours currently and it is functioning as designed.

There isn't much to this unit. Two batteries connect to it and a smaller connector has a ground wire and a "start assist" override. You need to connect at least the ground wire so that the electronics can power up. After a few days, the blue light went out completely. I assume it is junk at this point, and in any case, too unreliable for my needs. It also appears the warranty is useless unless bought through one of their dealers, which isn't Amazon. Total waste of money. Update: The victron web site claims Amazon is an ok source to buy from -- problem is that you have to rely on the amazon seller to handle technical support. You are better off with a manufacturer that will talk to customers directly. My solution is this: Blue Sea Systems Automatic Charging Relays (ACRs) elsewhere on Amazon. Look at the attched photos. Thus unit was under the hood of a van near the master brake cylinder. It was clearly not capable of keeping out moisture. Everything is corroded.
