Great little pocket radio
While this radio is far from perfect for the money spent it is pretty nice. Super compact and easy to use . Comes with earbuds , a nice lanyard and charging cord. Sound quality is not bad and push button controls work well for tuning and selecting stored stations and volume. The antenna is in the earbud wires so reception can be a little touchy on weaker stations but overall it is good. Earbuds are usable but I might upgrade to a better pair for more comfort. Overall a great buy and I would recommend and buy again.

Great little radio for the outdoor activity person
I am an early morning fast walker with NPR as my morning companion. My old pocket radio wore out and Retekess has proven to be an excellent replacement. Function buttons are obvious and easy to use. Reception was been great and I like the lanyard for carrying versus having to store in a pocket as was the case with my previous version. Happy listener.

Works OK but power lines can cause static
I like this digital radio for the price. Instructions were poor so I had to play with it to learn how to program and pre-set my favorite FM stations. There is a lock feature which I found annoying because it is easy to lock this device accidentally which forces you to unlock it in order to access the controls. The earphones were surprisingly good but I will stick with my more expensive Bose earphones. I wished it had a clip but they do provide a large lanyard to hang this device over your neck. Changing stations were easy after programming and pre-setting your stations which is a "must have" while jogging or biking. If you are on a hill with no power lines, the reception is perfect. However, while jogging or biking and if you get near a power line, you will hear some static. The static is intermittent or comes and goes. Even with this flaw, I am keeping it so I can exercise outdoors and this is better than my heavy smart phone.

Needs battery meter.
Gave four stars because three and one-half not an option. Have only used for about a week at time of this review and mainly on AM band.First, size is about same as quarter inch thick credit card. And it is light, about like a single AA battery. I was expecting a bit more heft, especially with a built in battery. Was a bit disappointed with AM reception. Is decent, but does not compare to a good table-top AM radio. For city dwellers likely not an issue, for rural folks the radio orientation matters.Otherwise, the button switches have nice click and feel. The audio jack which has caused me problems with many other devices is working very good so far but time will tell on that. I sat down and read the little manual to understand the memory functions, but is really fairly simple in operation.I use a lightweight Koss headset for listening and therefore cannot comment on the included earbuds. Can say however that sound quality on both bands is about what you would expect from a little radio. Not dynamic but decent.Screen is very readable for tuning and memory slot. Battery power bar though is tiny. Too small IMO. Have only charged battery once, so don't have a good handle on it's life other than it is exceeding my expectations.Lock switch works well. It prevents accidental changes in station and volume from button bumping while working. The ninety minute auto-off can be a pain but is minor point for me.If radio still working well a year from now would have no problem recommending without reservation.Update--6 months since purchased. Have dropped rating one star to okay. Biggest negative is battery life and the lack of a battery bar to monitor it. Imagine your cellphone quitting without warning because battery ran out. Unless you just took off charger and know the little battery is full, there is no way to know when it needs charging till it shuts off then only lasts a few seconds on restarting. No other complaints. Bottom line, radio okay but on a do-over would spend more and buy a full featured small radio.

Meh...it's fine (FINAL UPDATE 12/13/2024: it no longer works!
Updated review: The product no longer works after just 4 months. There must be manipulation of the star rating algorithm happening on Amazon. This thing was JUNK! This is one of those Amazon purchases that on hindsight I didn't really need and if I saw this in person /at a store would not have purchased based on the look/feel of the product.. Yes I need a small handheld portable radio and this does work. It's just not amazing. It''s very light, plastic. There is a PRONOUNCED hiss when the radio is playing, even on the stations that comes in cleanly on other devices. My Apple iPod with radio has a MUCH better reception for the stations, no hiss whatsoever. A bit tricky setting the stations but once I figured it out (included directions are not very instructive) it's fine. I truly miss the days of the classic Sony Walkman. Now that was something to write sonnets about! The Retekess pocket radio...it's fine. After a week of use I have downgraded this to 2 stars. UPDATE: One of the earbuds has stopped working after 1 month. I really don't understand all the 5 star reviews. I think there are some manipulation/ bots on these 5 star reviews. 1 star after 1 month of use. FINAL UPDATE 12/12/2024: 4 months after purchase it no longer works!!
