Better than expected
This review focuses on the “fine” mince model. As seen in the product description the Gourmet Easy Garlic Press is comprised of two separate parts. Let's call them the press part and the “mince” part. Both parts of the garlic press I received appear to be cast, forged or machined from a solid piece of stainless steel. I may be wrong about that but if so, the manufacturer did a good job hiding any joints. In either case, this product is fit for use and looks great.I tested the metal with a magnet which barely stuck. Because it only "sort of stuck" implies the metal is derived from a ferrous steel its magnetic attraction is weak because stainless steel is often alloyed with such things as chromium or nickel. The weak magnetic attraction confirmed to my opinion that it is indeed a stainless steel not aluminum or some kind of pot metal which has zero magnetic attraction. The parts have an excellent fit and high gloss finish. Really a beautiful product. But the real question is: Does it work? I tried it and the press did an excellent job squeezing peeled garlic cloves. I did not try to press un-peeled cloves so I cannot comment on that (at this time). I peeled the entire bulb at one sitting and have since learned that if peeled cloves are not used quickly they can be stored for several months in the fridge. The most frequently recommended way I researched is to cover the peeled cloves with wine vinegar in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid. The vinegar preserves the cloves which makes the next use of the garlic press all the more simple and easy. Some people have remarked about difficulty squeezing the clove: I can squeeze one clove at a time with one hand … but it is easier to use both hands.Construction is simple yet elegant: The Press part of the handle has notches into which ears on the Mince piece are inserted (see photos). But neither piece has any joint or tight crevice that would allow squeezed elements of the clove to collect and clog. So being able to easily clean this item (completely) was one of the key reasons I was willing to pay more for this product. The fresh/peeled cloves I squeezed came through the mince part cleanly and were scraped off the bottom of the mince part directly into the recipe. There was a bit of the clove left behind inside the mince compartment but that was easily washed away with a hot water rinse and sent down the disposal unit. Nothing left over to smell up the place. The parts were then separated and rinsed with hot water again - this time with a brush, which did a surprisingly good job - there was almost no smell of garlic remaining anywhere on the press ... even after a simple scrub and rinse with nothing more than hot water. That really surprised me.I then washed the item using dish soap and a brush in the mince compartment ... this ensured (to my personal satisfaction) that all the holes in the mince compartment were cleared of any squeezed residue. I dried it off by hand and put it away into my gadget drawer. Conclusion: Aside from its top notch functional capability, its fabulous good looks, and the FDA Certified Food Grade Stainless Steel material ... plus ... a 5 year replacement policy, the features collectively make this item well worth its cost ... in my opinion. Highly Recommended.

Fantastic Garlic Press – Works as Advertised!
I was a bit skeptical at first, but this garlic press truly delivers! The fact that it can press garlic cloves with the skin on is a total game changer. No more peeling and getting garlic stuck under my nails—just pop the clove in, press, and you’re done. It crushes garlic effortlessly, and the cleanup is super easy since the peel stays behind. The build quality feels sturdy, and the handle is comfortable to use. Even with multiple cloves, it works smoothly without requiring too much force. If you love cooking and want to make prep work faster and easier, this garlic press is a must-have. Highly recommend!

Durable, efficient, and easy to clean
Worth the money. Other garlic presses tend to break easily, misalign, and are just harder to clean.Comes in 2 detachable peices. I find it to be Simplistic, yet very effective and durable. Less of a hassle.

Nice garlic crusher
Garlic crushes really well, and design is very simple and nice. The two flaws are the expensive price, and the other one is that garlic gets stuck in the holes and it’s kind of annoying to clean. Other than that it’s a solid item.

Gourmet Easy Garlic Press Stainless Steel: A Blend of Elegance and Functionality
As a culinary enthusiast and a professional reviewer, I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Gourmet Easy Garlic Press Stainless Steel. This product, with its two-part design, has been a topic of discussion in many kitchens, and I was eager to put it to the test. The first thing that caught my eye was the construction of the press. It appears to be cast, forged, or machined from a solid piece of stainless steel, which gives it a robust and durable feel. The high gloss finish adds a touch of elegance to the product, making it not just a kitchen tool, but a piece of art.Upon testing, I found that the press did an excellent job squeezing peeled garlic cloves. However, I did not try to press un-peeled cloves, so I cannot comment on that aspect. The press was easy to use, although I found it more comfortable to use both hands for squeezing. One of the standout features of this product is its ease of cleaning. The design does not have any tight crevices that would allow squeezed elements of the clove to collect and clog. This was a major selling point for me, as I value kitchen tools that are easy to maintain. However, the product is not without its flaws. The two-piece factor could be a put-off for some buyers. Also, while the press claims that you don't have to peel the cloves first, I found that this is only partly true. Pressing unpeeled cloves can clog the press, requiring cleaning before pressing another clove or storing the press. In conclusion, the Gourmet Easy Garlic Press Stainless Steel is a well-crafted kitchen tool that delivers on its promise of easy garlic pressing and cleaning. However, it does have a few shortcomings that potential buyers should be aware of.Pros:+ Solid stainless steel construction: The press is robust and durable.+ Easy to clean: The design does not allow garlic residue to collect and clog.+ Effective pressing: The press does an excellent job squeezing peeled garlic cloves.Cons:- Two-piece design: This could be a put-off for some buyers.- Partial truth about peeling: The press can clog if used with unpeeled cloves, requiring cleaning before pressing another clove or storing the press.- High gloss finish: While it adds a touch of elegance, it can give a cheap look and feel to the product.Despite these cons, I believe the Gourmet Easy Garlic Press Stainless Steel is a worthy addition to any kitchen. It's a tool that combines functionality and aesthetics, making your culinary journey a bit more enjoyable.

Game-changer
I purchased this during the holiday prime deal week for my mother (who suffers from arthritis), and now wish I had bought multiple. It’s an incredible tool, and is so easy to clean! The first thing one notices its’ weight and quality. Assembly could not be simpler, and the two options (fine and coarse) are perfect for most recipes. It has already been a game-changer in the kitchen - an unexpected luxury that puts traditional presses to shame.
