Great rod! Used for the first time a couple of weeks ago fishing off a jetty on the coast of Oregon. Casts medium weight lures farther than any of my other rods. Easy to pack for travel, good looking, absolutely no complaints. I bought the 7.8 ft rod. It is relatively stiff so would be good for salmon, steelhead and other larger fish. Probably too stiff for trout unless they are bigger than 5 lbs. Am thinking of buying the 9 ft. rod next. You won't be disappointed.

Why is this made in china?

Cause it’s the only place where a rod this bad will pass inspection.

Would it brake if it bends?

I fish in salt water and it has good action. I'm sure the 6foit rod can handle a 10lb fish, especially since is the reel that is giving you the drag

Is this ok for stingray fishing?

For small one, I'd say up to 5 lbs, it should be ok. Don't listen to the comment that said it'll break (not brake!), unless you have no idea how to properly fishing. A quick lesson: the rod is not used to lift dead weight. If you do that, it just means you have no clue how to fishing. You use the drag of the reel to play and tire the fish. The rod is your leverage. Take a look at the extreme fishing videos on youtube, where a kiddo rod can land a 30 lb fish. Notice how they play with the fish, not just trying to horse the fish in. For the record, I landed a 40+ lb manta ray (if you don't know, look it up... these are the biggest rays) using a telescopic rod. It was a Hurricane brand instead of this one, 8.8' with a Daiwa Fuego LT 3000 reel. I left a review on Daiwa reel review on amazon page so take a look if you want to. I own this rod too, in both 2.1 and 2.7m version. They've landed decent fish but all under 5 lbs. If you've done enough fishing, you know over 90% of your fish will be under 5 lbs, unless you are really lucky and do lots offshore fishing. Then again, you are out of your mind if you do offshore fishing with these.
