I am impressed. Good sound quality . Built tough. Easy to charge and quick! Impressed with the bass it produces also. Had it in the river a few times with zero issues after pulling it out. Just vibrate the water out of it. LOL. Bluetooth is easy to connect a little heavy for size (good quality) small enough to pack in luggage., long lasting battery.

I did return this speaker because it appeared to have been previously opened. I bought one on sale locally instead, however, so I will still submit a review. I have an older model of this same speaker as well as this one. They are similar, but the quality of this one is superior.It is sharp looking, and the ends move in and out with the music. It projects music very well to fill spaces, due to the shape of the speaker. I have used it for a few gatherings/parties, and received compliments. People actually thought music was coming from my main stereo system that was on the other side of the room.This is a pretty powerful speaker in a very portable size. We have used it out by the pool as well as indoors. The battery lasts for many hours (hasn't run out on me yet during a party), but you can also plug it in to recharge if need be. This unit comes in several colors. Originally I ordered this red, but later chose a dark teal, which I prefer. The price on these is a bit high, but you will not be disappointed.

This speaker is soo good!! i mean cmon, its JBL!! Value for money is golden in my opinion, great sound quality, and it doubles as a portable charger! the waterproof capabilities is also astounding. its defensive capabilities are also very great, i have skated with his for years, dropped it so many times, and it still works the same!! the bluetooth connects from honestly over 15 feet with clear range? at least? and the color gradients are super nice and full!

I have owned this product for less than a week now, so I can’t speak to its durability. However, I can speak to its performance. It is a replacement for a Bose Soundlink Mini which sounded pretty good 10 years ago, but it failed so I bought this. It is about 25% louder with zero distortion than the Bose and the audio is more crisp, clear and sharp than the Bose ever thought about being. Add to that a battery that has 20 hours to a charge plus the capability to be a power bank for your phone or whatever and you have a pretty impressive bluetooth speaker plus it’s way cheaper than the Bose at only $130. The first time you hook it up and turn it on, you’ll be like “daaammn!”

I bought the JBL Charge 5 as a Christmas gift for my partner, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. They’ve been using it nonstop ever since, and we’re both really impressed by how powerful and clear the sound is for such a compact speaker. It’s convenient not having to pack an extra charger when we’re on the go.Pairing is simple and fast with Bluetooth, and the JBL PartyBoost feature is great if you have more JBL speakers to link up for a bigger sound. We haven’t used that yet, but it’s nice to know it’s there if we expand our setup.Overall, my partner was genuinely thrilled with this gift—and I honestly think I’ll end up getting one for myself too. It’s an excellent speaker with premium sound, long battery life, and a rugged design. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a portable speaker that doesn’t compromise on performance.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I wanted something in my office AND for when I’m cooking in the backyard. This speaker was perfect. Portable. Good looking. Loud. The sound will fill a room and doesn’t distort as the volume goes up. I’ve never had a Bluetooth connectivity issue. The battery life has been exceptional and it’s never died on me. It’s been perfect for my needs.

Sounds good and the size is overall good. Not too small not too big. Bought to replace my Bose sound link mini ii. Sound quality is similar I would say but the JBL gets a lot louder which was one reason I wanted it. Bass definitely drops off when the volume is increased which is expected but unfortunate.Going to bring to the lake this summer so the fact it’s water proof is huge. Overall 4/5 as I had hoped for more of a difference in sound quality based on other JBL speakers I’ve heard and used.

Perfect speaker. I live by JBL, I upgraded my JBL flip 4 to this speaker! The weight is a tad on the heavy side. It is a great value for your buck. Size is a tad big for my little hands to carry.. The sound is nice, crisp and clear!
