We compared 4 dental floss brands: CocoFloss, Dr. Tungs, Silk Floss and Reach. We had used Reach for years and were basically happy with it, though it did tend to shred badly at times. However, after reading that almost all commercial brands of floss are made with PFAs (forever plastics), which ultimately end up in your blood stream and vital organs, we decided to switch to a brand that was PFA free, including CocoFloss, Dr. Tungs, Silk Floss. Right out the gate, Silk Floss by SMARTLIFECO was a complete failure as many reviewers have noted. Unless you have gaps between every tooth in your mouth, Silk Floss will break at the slightest resistance. Useless. Dr. Tung’s Smart Floss is probably the best choice for most normal teeth. The container is flimsy paper, which though an environmental plus, is hard to pull from and falls apart when wet. This floss is similar to Reach but doesn’t shred as easily and has a nice feel, good performance and subtle cardamom flavor. CocoFloss is my personal favorite, though my wife could not use it at all because it was too thick for her. The floss is a pleasure to use and works for both large and tight gaps. It is robust, never shreds, unspools easily, and they claim the plastic container is re-useable, but I cannot find a way to order refills.

Before DrTung, I never knew I could get excited over Dental Floss. The cardamom taste is gentle and not overwhelming. But more important the expanding nature, lets me use it with my very tight spacing on my molars. Lots of gross gunk comes out, so I guess it works. Glide doesn't remove as much visible matter as DrTung.

This floss is very gentle around your teeth and I would highly recommend it to anybody! I find it at whole Foods market as well.

As a dental professional, I’ve tried just about every floss on the market, and I personally use DrTung's Smart Floss over others. Unlike many flosses that fray or shred, this one stays intact, leaving your mouth feeling exceptionally clean. It expands as you use it, making it easy to reach those tricky spots between teeth and around braces. The natural cardamom flavor is a nice bonus, making flossing more pleasant. For anyone with braces—or anyone who wants a floss that actually works—this is a must-have.

I love this floss! My gums doesn't get sore but it snags every bit of food morsel. I can never go back to those old school floss we all were used to getting.
