Six Degrees of Scandal: Scandalous Series

Got this book for my granny. She told the story is great it only take her a day to read it.

Over the last 45 years or so I have read many, many Regency romances but this book left me wordless!! I always try in my reviews to find something positive to say and the only good thing I can say about this book is that there were no jarring Americanisms or poor vocabulary/ grammar.As the characters and plot-line, it leaves much to be desired, in fact I would go as far as to say that it's complete twaddle. The sexually starved widow, the repentant tale, long lost love, evil peer of the realm,stolen art work, smuggling and gossip - whew, too much for any reader.The story is interspersed with so called, "hot sex" scenes which do little to improve the story and trade on the market for books such as 50 Shades of Grey. In fact, the stories within the book are published by the hero under the title - 50 Ways to Sin - highly original (not).I skim read the last half of the book, purely as an exercise in saying that I had completed the book. It was tough going and the two main characters - Olivia and Jamie, utilise every cliche known to the genre, but who cares? Honestly, I didn't.I cannot recommend this book to anyone but a sexually frustrated moron from Mars. You have been warned.
