It's Not All Downhill from Here: A Novel

This book was good. They say you that when you identify with the characters then you enjoy a book even more. I did identify. Not necessarily for me but definitely for my mother and her crew which is why I am passing this book on to her.A lot of the issues in this book highlights the everyday for people of that generation. I think the issues, in particular dealing with grown children is something my mum and all her friends can identify with as all of them have at least one child that makes them lay awake at night. I loved it in that sense and the last quarter had me in tears quite a few times.I love how it is written in the first person. It brings the main character to life. I lived her every day with her and can’t help think that my own mother, similar in age but a little more agile will love her as well.

Whenever Terry Macmillan releases a new novel I so look forward to ordering from Amazon. I know I ll never be disappointed. She's funny, frank and her characters are so real. A pleasure to read, and best read with a glass of wine, curled up on sofa, with nibbles to hand!!Her writing is very contemporary. I would thoroughly recommend to everyone, even if it's not they're usual genre.

I'm a huge fan of Terry McMillan found the book very easy to read , something very familiar about the characters. Following the life of a group of friends in their late sixty up and downs death and family problems life really . Good read
