Genuine Ford GB5Z-78045A36-AB Console Vault, 1 Pack

I wish the previous owner opted for the rear center console, it makes the rear configuration so much better for the rear passengers. No more awkward arm placement when in the back. My passengers can now have an arm rest on both sides, and a easily accessible cup holder. Not to mention a vault to store things! Only gripe is that there's very very slight surface rust on the hinges, like others have stated. I assume from being stored in humidity. The fitment on the very front of the console is not 100% either, it's about an inch too long. Not a big deal but makes me wonder if these were originally designed for the older model 5th gen Explorers? Aside from that, well worth the money, looks great, works great. Fairly easy install. Took me about an hour, taking my time.

Looks great and a perfect match for the Explorer interior. Has the red stitching. Back seat passengers will enjoy the added comfort of the arm rest. It came with clear instructions and screws needed for installation. Easy to install.

Overall Happy with the console. However, it arrived with rust on the hinges already, and would not open very well until I soaked it in WD40 to free up the rust. The fit and finish where the console meets the floor/carpet is mediocre at best and has quite a few large gaps. Kids are happy to have a place for there arms and drinks To rest, so I can look past the little things but for an “OEM” part I was not totally impressed.

Perfect as promised. The company, Lasco Brothers were amazing. Instructions came with the console and the appropriate hardware. Did it myself. Saved over $200. Installation wasn’t particularly fun. Nervous about cutting carpet.

I received this on a Rainy Friday morning and buy mid afternoon I had it installed. The only tricky part was finding the front holes. My carpet is black and I didn't have any way of marking them. I used blue painters tape on the carpet and marked it. Cut the two holes and was finished pretty fast. Grandkids love it gives them a place to rest their arms on long trips.

I was going to order this part from Ford they wanted 460 tax this was a very good deal it's great would buy it again
