This worked really well for helmet padding for a Kylo Ren cosplay! It will work with hot glue despite sites online stating that hot glue would not work for this kind of material! I was very happy with it!As for actual comfort, this was sitting on our counter for a bit before I got to integrate it into the helmet, and we couldn't stop touching it every time we passed it! It comes with a bit of a scent at first, but that goes away!

Product is 3 - 1inch think pads glued together, NOT a 3 inch think pad. Company is trying to assess a 50% restocking fee for a bait and switch product

Received product less than 24 hours after ordering, product overall seems to be off good quality, however there was a hole in it that looked like it had been super glued back together. Unfortunately it is right in the middle which would not be comfortable. Returning and already reordered another in hopes the next one will come without defects.

This item does not have hardly any density. Flatens with any weight will not give support and the cost is ridiculous. I needed it to raise my pillow an inch and cut it in half so now I can't return it. Bummer

I used scissors to hack pieces of this for padding a plastic boot used for stabilizing a broken ankle.Chunks of this thick foam were the only things that kept me from screaming in pain. Oh, and I tried three different boots, and every one of them hit my ankle in some awful way. Once I got the memory foam in place, I could walk without the plastic edges jabbing me some place or other.Other use: it's a great padding for beginning balance exercises (standing on one foot). My podiatrist did not name this product specifically, but he did want me to do the exercise on a foam pad. this stuff was great for that, and also pads my sensitive ankle during other exercises done sitting on the floor.

Most gel foam is sold in large quantities and I only needed a small piece 1” thick to make a sling for a friend who had intense pain in her arm. She needed a padded sling to rest her arm on and this fit the bill.
