Brick Transformations Whitewash Paint for Brick and Fireplaces- 16 oz Pint

This had to have been one of the easiest upgrades I've ever done. Hardest part was cleaning prior to painting. It does take a bit to get it down in the mortar lines, but is doable. Took me about 4 hours, after cleaning, to get this painted. Absolutely love the outcome!

Does the job and looks nice. Cleans easy and adhesion is good so far.

I bought my first home and did not like the stone fireplace. Unfortunately i could not afford to remodel so i painted it. This was one whole can. No wiping. I just bought two more cans to finish the bottom and possibly do another coat. A little does go a long way.

I have always used regular semi gloss Behr brand paint for white wash brick, just brush on and wipe off for desired look. I figured I would try a “real” whitewash this time. Never again. The box store paint will do the exact same thing for much less money. In fact, I ran out of this midway for $30 for a tiny 16oz can and had to grab my Behr semi gloss to finish. Wife could not tell the difference when she got home.

We are not the best DIYers and even we could use this successfully! I can’t believe how beautiful our fireplace turned out, it completely changed the look of our living room and is exactly what we had envisioned. It’s time consuming and somewhat tedious, but so so worth it. We did it with two people to make it easier. One of us painted a few bricks at a time and the other followed behind to do the wiping. I would highly recommend this product, even for novice DIYers.
