The Land Flipper: Turning Dirt into Dollars

This is a good, basic book on investing in land. For experienced investors, most of what's in here is rudimentary / easy, but it's still a good read and recommended for anyone - especially folks looking to learn more about land investing. 5 stars.

I don't know anything about flipping land, but I was intrigued by the topic and wanted to find out more. The Land Flipper is not only informative, it is also entertaining and exceedingly well-written for a self-published book. The author has a casual yet professional tone that keeps you reading and wanting to learn more. I'm an editor by profession and have been involved in the publication of 30+ books, and I think that qualifies me as an expert in identifying a high-quality, high-value book, which The Land Flipper is. Well-organized, clear, and concise, it'll give you all the information you need to get started as a land flipper if you are willing to take a couple of hours to read the book and put the author's guidelines into practice.

This is short read that provides insight into the basics of land flipping; it offers ideas on how to construct a contract, and how to potentially pay for the land if cash is not abundant. The writing style is informal and not fullof complicated jargon. In the end, the author says that a follow up version may include specific case studies which I think would add tremendous value to the book. Case studies that include financial costs would really paint a better picture for those of us who have no experience with land flipping. In sum, it’s a good, high level digest on the topic which was sufficient start for me.

The author dove into some topics a little more deeply, but overall this is a quick intro read that summarizes the rural land flipping business.

I’ll retire in about five years and wanted some tips on buying some land for my own use. This book is easy to read, well organized and well written. The author does a good job explaining the buying (and selling) process and how to avoid potential problems. If I was interested in flipping land, this book would scare me away. Even if you didn’t require sleep, there aren’t enough hours to do everything the author talks about.

From reading this book, you can tell that EB (Seth) Farmer really knows his stuff with flipping raw land. I knew nothing about flipping land before this book. Now, I see that it is relatively easy to do compared to other investments. Thanks Seth for making this so easy to understand!

I really enjoyed this book. It helped me understand the process of buying land.

This is an easy to read, well written, and entertaining ebook describing the process of buying, dividing and selling plots of land. It is clear that the author has done many deals like this and had success doing so. While I am far from an expert in the subject area, it seems like the book did a good job covering all the necessary ins and outs of the business.The tone of the book comes across as a bit gungho, get-rich-quick-ish. Read a bit further in -- the details are worth it.Recommended.

The Land Flipper is a solid overview of the key topics related to buying and flipping raw land. Written in a casual, easy-to-understand prose, I found it insightful, written by someone who knows what he's talking about. I'll keep it on my bookshelf for future reference and can recommend it to anyone serious about buying, developing and selling raw land.
