I've been using hydration bladders for 30+ years and have seen them improve remarkably over that time, but I have never owned one with ALL these features together.1. Large opening to fill water and for cleaning the bladder2. A screw top to secure the water (My Mountain Springs hydration bladder actually uses something akin to a potato chip bag clip)3. A bite valve that is intuitive to use and does not leak4. An on/off valve near the bite valve as a secondary precaution5. A cap for the bite valve (this it the first time I've seen this)6. No funny taste and BPA free7. Fits perfectly in my 3L Mountain Designs backpack.I shopped around for name brand hydration systems but found the Mount Design and this bladder to be most cost effective and feature rich combination.

This bladder is great. It's easy to use once you figure it out, easy to take apart, works great, no leaks after a year of use, no mold yet, no bad taste. I'm very happy with it.

Bought for my daughter. She used it 3 times. On the third time the valve started leaking. When this happens it will drip down the from of you. Was going to return but the return window closed. Buyer beware. At least it didn’t taste like plastic. After writing this, the company reached to me about sending a new bladder, i asked for a refund, and now no one is responding. The company simply went quite. No standing behind their product.Update: Company went quite so buyer beware. Do not purchase this product unless you are going to use it a few times before the return window closes. You will need to make sure the valve doesn't fail. Cause if it does there is nothing you can do about it. Because this company will just ignore you.Update: Better late than never. I do appreciate the company finally making things right.

The company just sent me another one and it’s perfect. I’m so impressed that they saw my original review (how it tasted bad) and sent me a new version without the plastic taste. It’s exactly what I hoped for from the original purchase! Great customer service and a better product. I recommend.I’ve owned and used it for a while now. It still tastes like plastic. The last time I went hiking the plastic pieces weren’t inserted all of the way so I got no water until I figured that out. The water was freezing around the spout although it was high 30s/ low 40s.
