After years of doing it the hard way with "blunt end" connectors, I decided to try these. OMG! What a relief. I had no problem making my first cable and not having to worry about a miss tap or broken circuit. I finished both ends and used my tester to verify circuitry. Excellent! I strip more shielding and trim the excess leads once the connector is finished. I use a good RJ45 crimper (I have three and all worked flawlessly) and had no issues at all. Once my final few closed end connectors are used, I will be using these. I've tried them on CAT5, 6 and 6E cable without issues.

These were the best value I could find for pass through connections (~$8 for 100). They work very well and have been easy to use. I would recommend them as they were cheaper than others I have purchased and worked just as well.

Will work if you don’t have the tool if you are patient and only making a couple of ends. Mire than a couple new ends, buy the tool. With no tool, be sure to follow the correct wire color positions to match the other end of your cable and always leave the cable a little longer than necessary in case you make a mistake and need to cut it off and try again. Always best to practice first to get your technique down first. The part that pushes down to stress relieve the cable jacket could benefit from a more secure click in place, feels a little weak especially if your kids plan to play rope the house cat with the wifi router.

I was tired of WiFi dead/slow spots in my home and decided to create a wired connection to every room in my house. I bought a 50pk of these plugs and was not disappointed. With these I was able to verify the correct wire sequence before crimping to the cable. This saved me several times as the wires crossed when putting in the plug. But with these I just pulled it out and lined up up again. No need to cut the end off and waste the plug as I have had to do many times with other plugs.
