It’s just a spoon, really, but it has a nice size and shape that lets it serve as a stirring spoon and an eating spoon. I like that there is no hole on the handle, which lets me turn it around and use the handle as a spreader for peanut butter onto crackers. I’m done with sporks. Honestly, when backpacking I never need anything other than a spoon and a spreader, and my pocket knife for cutting cheese or salami. I’m always going to have my pocket knife, so this super lightweight spoon is the only other utensil I need. Car camping is different, I’ll bring regular forks, knives, spoons, and cooking utensils. Backpacking I’m just using my Jetboil pot, so a spoon is all I need. The handle is a little short for stirring my large jetboil pot if cooking for two, but I can always quickly split one end of a greenwood stick, wedge it over the spoon, and lash it it tight with a little dyneema cord. All in all, a high quality, lightweight backpacking spoon.

This spoon is not the lightest titanium soup spoon available (originally bought it for backpacking) but is made very well and is a pleasure to use. I like it so much that I use it regularly to eat at home with (even cereal) and have snuck it in to ramen restaurants. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a titanium soup spoon that is build with quality, finished well and fit comfortably in your hand.
