I had surgery on my face so I need to reduce the scar. Mederma gel worked really well for a while but then I found I needed the cream. It's dramatically reducing the scar. My eyes are really sensitive to any cream I use on my face so my eyes are i but I decided to keep using it. I'm glad I did. I need to reduce the scar and they small irritation to my eyes is no big deal. I highly recommend Maderma. It worked wonders on a surgical scar on my wrist too.

Good quality product

I’ve been using this for two months on a year-old burn, and I can already see improvement. The ointment has a nice smell and isn’t too greasy. However, I did experience some severe itchiness as a side effect.

I used this after open heart surgery based on the recommendations of friends and family. This is not a large tube and is pricey. I applied it as soon as my scab healed and used as prescribed, which was once a day. The results were not really that noticeable to me or really my family. I had another family member who used it after some surgery near her face and it worked better. It has been a while now and the scar has faded some, but I think this is due to time since it has been a long period of time since I used the medicine. Overall, I was not impressed by the results and probably would not buy it again. I'm not sure what other brand I would buy or what other method I would try.

The following is the same review I used for the Maderma PM:This review has no scientific research behind it but I believe that this Mederma in combination with the daily Maderma and a masager - (Muscle Roller for Muscles Deep Tissue/w Drawstring Gym Bag | Cellulite Remover Myofascial Massage Tool - Tennis Elbow Massager, Calf, Leg n Forearm Roller I High Density Foam Roller) - have worked wonders on the scar from my total knee replacement. After the wound was fully healed and I felt comfortable I could not accidentally open the wound, about eight weeks after the operation I began using the roller massager at night rolling it up and down from left to right and then back again twice moving it over about a half inch each time the whole length of the scar. Afterward I would rub in a very small amount of Maderma PM (about pea sized) the length of the scar and repeat with the regular Maderma in the morning. After about eight weeks now the scar is much less pronounced and is not unpleasant to look at. I'm impressed.

I feel it must be working idk I have taken photos of before and in bout 6 months or more ill come back with after photos. I'm super excited.
