Jell-O Strawberry Banana Gelatin Dessert, 25g

It was wonderful to find one of my childhood "old friends" available to me through Amazon. With Kroger Grocery Stores being headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, I'd initially found it there in years gone by. I'd requested it numerous times and finally was told that Jello wasn't as popular as in the "old days." I told the manager that it was a shame because it was part of the younger generation's memories and when something they treasured and looked forward to is no longer deemed "ah courante by the number of boxes sold, I suggested he should perhaps ask the advice of his customers It was always a bright spot amid holiday greens in a fruit and Jello side dish for all generations around our table. When a favourite niece, who is now in university, asked if I still made it, because she remembered that as one of the special dishes she always looked on as as part of the Christmas Traditions in our family. That awakened memories of holiday dinners past and I regretted letting this delicious Jello fruit mold become rotated off my Christmas Eve dinner menu. I decided then and there, to find that flavor of Jello and I was so rewarded when I placed the Jello and fruit mold in front of my niece to slice and serve it on its crunchy lettuce leaf. There were compliments 'round the table saying how they'd missed that particular dish and were happy to see its return. While I'd left the dishes to the " golden hands" of the teens and young adults, I slipped away and quickly copied the Jello and fruit dish recipe and slipped it into my niece's coat pocket. Two days later there was a wonderful Thank you note for the wonderful Christmas Eve dinner COMPLETE with the scrumptious Strawberry/Banana Jello side dish which she correctly guessed was just for her. She loves that recipe and the surprise of finding in her pocket. I'll be seeing her again at our family's New Year's Day brunch and I found a darling mold to give her, along with a box of Strawberry/Banana Jello mix and a note "passing the torch" so to speak, to bring it to our family gatherings any time she desires.I added that she'll ONLY find that Jello at Amazon. A win-win situation all around, I'd say.

The jello is great and can remember when it was available in several locations. Nice to have it in stock at Amazon.

Can’t find this in stores but it’s the flavor I grew up on and it is so delicious

My favorite flavor! But jello is jello is jello! I just happen to like the strawberry/banana flavor but can’t find it in the 3 supermarkets in my town!
